Pastor David s Ponderings: Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, God with us. Matthew 1:23 What a great proclamation the angel of the Lord delivered to Joseph. In verse twenty-one he told him to name the child Jesus, because he will save His people from their sins. Here in verse twenty-three we see how. God was coming to this earth in the form of a baby! He would come to give Himself for a sacrifice for our sin. What a glorious time of year that we can celebrate the birthday of our Savior! As we go into this celebration don t get caught up in the way the world celebrates. Don t be worrying about gifts, parties or looking forward to being off from work without realizing that the greatest gift has already been given! Immanuel God with us! Think about Him this Christmas. Teach your children the true meaning of this special time. Allow the splendor of what God has done to penetrate all areas of our lives this Christmas, and May He bless each and every one of you! I love you all. So thankful to be celebrating in Todd with the greatest people in the world! David
