We welcome you and hope that your time with us will be enjoyable and enlightening. Families with children are invited to worship together with us in the service. For children 5 yrs old or younger who are not able to sit through the church service, there is a nursery downstairs, or a glassed-in room behind the sanctuary where you may sit with your baby and still follow the service. If you feel a sense of belonging, you are most welcome to be with us. Talk to us about how you can participate. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ German Worship Service 10:00 am Andachtsleiter: Gunnar Doerwald Grusswort: Offb. 3:8 Orgelspiel: Marlene Borzychowski Opfergaben Fokus: Mennonite World Conference Chorlied Lied: Du Sonne der Gerechtigkeit GB #100 Chorlied Schriftwort: Joh. 20:19-29 Botschaft: Geschlossene Tueren - Offene Tueren Hans H. Women in Service On Tuesday, April 14 th, we will meet at 7:00 pm for our last meeting of the season. There will not be a 9:00 am meeting that day. Progressive Supper April 17 th - THIS FRIDAY! Still space available to host! Once again your youth are eagerly awaiting the night when they get to enter your homes and eat either an appetizer, main course, or dessert with you! Every year this event is a smashing success as we cross those generational boundaries, give and receive hospitality, and grow together as a community. Special Pot Luck - After our Worship Service on Sunday April 19 th, please join us for a Pot Luck Lunch, followed by a special presentation by Nate & Taryn highlighting their Mission efforts in Botswana. If you have any specific questions about the Botswana Missions projects, we welcome you to submit your questions to April in the Church office by Thursday April 16 th. For the Pot luck - Please bring a main dish plus salad OR dessert. We have partnered with Hannah House Maternity Home (HHMH) again this year for its eleventh annual Change for Life Baby Bottle campaign. HHMH exists as the only Christian non-profit maternity home in the Niagara Region, offering shelter and support to young adolescent mothers and their babies. Bottles are currently available for pick-up at the Welcome Centre and are due back on Mother s Day- May 10 th. Donations from this year s Change for Life Baby Bottle Campaign will be used to enable HHMH to provide its young mothers and babies food, shelter, programming and educational opportunities as well as cover household expenses. Donations over $20 will be recognized with a charitable receipt. If anyone does not want to take a baby bottle home, online donations are welcomed by visiting: www.hannahhouse.ca. Thanks for your support. Thank-you to all of our Scripture Readers! It has been so wonderful having such a wide variety of people participate in our services by volunteering in this way! Our last schedule spanned 17 months, with each person listed only once and we are now drawing near to the end. Everyone who has participated in 2014 and 2015 (to the end of May) will be included in the next schedule, as well as anyone who expresses interest in being added. Please contact April if you would like to submit your name to be added to this list, or if you wish to be removed. Deadline: April 30 th. Thanks again to all of you! Missions Committee - Peach Salsa fund raising Similar to previous years, NUMC will be participating the August Peach Festival selling Peach Salsa. In preparation for the Festival, we will be making Salsa on Friday night May 1 st and Saturday May 2 nd. If you're interesting in helping please contact a Missions Committee rep. Thanks! A volunteer is needed for our live-streaming over the internet. That person is required to activate the stream on the computer before service begins, and then stop the stream after the Worship Service. Only basic computer knowledge is necessary and training is provided for the specific details. If you are willing to help, please contact the church office. WHO is that? Have you ever wondered who that person in the foyer was, or who is sitting at the other end of your church pew? Or who sang so well or played an instrument so expertly? Or whose son/daughter/sibling is the teen in the skit? Or have you heard a prayer request and couldn t attach a face to the name? The new 2015 PHOTO DIRECTORY will help us to solve all those mysteries! Please help to make it a success by: * Promptly booking an appointment for your own household. Many appointment times are available from May 19 21, and then again from May 26 30. There will be two days reserved for those at Pleasant Manor, where photographs will be taken onsite at Pleasant Manor. Booking starts TODAY! * Volunteering to make some follow-up and reminder calls in early May * Volunteering as receptionist for a few hours during picture-taking days * Being an enthusiastic participant!!! Thank-you, in advance!

Our church is part of Mennonite Church Eastern Canada (MCEC). MCEC is a part of Mennonite Church Canada, which is part of Mennonite World Conference. Every six years, we hold a gathering of all the Mennonite communities from around the world. It is a time to see how the Anabaptist vision that was started almost 500 years ago, has borne fruit. It is a time to meet our brothers and sisters from the many nations, and truly worship as one community under God. This July, the conference is being held in Harrisonburg, PA, which according to Google Earth is 5 hours 31 minutes away. The conference is Tuesday, July 21 to Sunday, July 26. Please consider giving to this, so that we can help someone from a church which does not have our abundance, and also consider going yourself (https://www.mwc-cmm.org/pennsylvania-2015).
