Our goal for this mission emphasis is $1,600.00. Thank you for your generous support of this mission! * The WMU is sponsoring a Food Collection October 7-14 in observance of the Global Hunger Relief mission emphasis. Boxes for your donations of non-perishable food items will be available in two locations: one by the bulletin board in the hallway near the church mail boxes and one in the fellowship hall. * The WMU will meet on Tuesday, October 9 th at 7 pm. * Global Hunger Relief Sunday will be on October 14 th. Our church goal is $975.00. alphabetized

ANNOUNCEMENTS CONTINUED * During the month of October, focus is brought to the Cooperative Program. Our church partners with thousands of other Baptist churches across North Carolina and we each give a certain percentage of our total regular offerings. This money is pooled together and used to support missions and ministerial training, in addition to supporting missionaries across North America and beyond. Right now 10% of our regular budget offerings go to support the Cooperative Program. We also give 3% (of regular budget) to support Johnston Baptist Association. More information is available on the table near the bulletin board. * In preparation for our 150 th anniversary next year, we are collecting any old photographs of the church and church activities. If you have any photos that you would like to share, a box will be located in the Ann Judson Sunday School class for your donations. Please, give us copies only of any photos that you wish to keep. * The WMU is sponsoring a collection of standard size chapstick for the Red Box Women s Prison Ministry from September 23 rd through October 14 th. Our goal is 300 tubes!! * There will be a Quarterly Business Meeting on Wednesday, October 17 th at 7 pm. * Homecoming Sunday is Sunday, October 21 st. Jonathan Shelor (our former Youth pastor) will be our guest speaker. Be sure to mark your calendars! A covered dish lunch will follow the Worship Service. * The JBA Fall Semi-Annual Meeting will be at Pisgah Baptist Church at 7 pm on Tuesday, October 23 rd. * On November 17th, Our church will be working with the Baptist men to help do hurricane Florence cleanup relief at a site in South Eastern North Carolina that will determined at a later date.
