Transformed Transformed to Reconcile

BLUF Know If you have accepted Christ you have a New Spirit (Christ's Spirit) which has Christ's power to fully transform your mind to be like Christ. Feel Confident that Christ has placed His Spirit in you, and confident it has the power to fully transform your mind. Do Renew your mind through scripture, pray, and reconcile yourself to others and to God, being Christ like in all things.

Paul's BLUF 1 TIM 2:2 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. 5 For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity the man Christ Jesus. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.

Transform vs Reform Transform - To change in form appearance or structure; metamorphose The Spirit that God gave us The ability to be Christ like in all things Reform - The improvement or amendment of what is wrong, corrupt, or unsatisfactory Not the Spirit of Christ that resides in us The Law used incorrectly to control and condemn Religious Spirit

Transforming ROM 8:1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power [a] of the life-giving Spirit has freed you [b] from the power of sin that leads to death. 5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. 6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. 7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God s laws, and it never will. 9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) 10 And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life [d] because you have been made right with God. 11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

Transforming ROM 12:1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, [a] I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. [b] 2 Don t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Crucial Conversations We receive an input sight action hear. We tell ourselves a story about it to understand and give meaning to put it into our context. Our story generates an emotion feeling based on our attitude. Our emotion generates the action that we take (this is the fruit that we produce).

What is a Transformed Mind Capable of: 1 COR 2:15 Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. 16 For, Who can know the LORD s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him? But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ. 2 COR 16 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord who is the Spirit makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. EPH 4:23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God truly righteous and holy. Titus 1: 15 Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. (This is the context of the story they tell themselves and the emotions that they generate from those stories causes the actions that they take) 16 Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. (This is the fruit that they produce ).

Christ Came to Reconcile Reconcile To restore to communion To settle a dispute

Christ Reconciled Us to God Eph 2:14 For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. 15 He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. 16 Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.

1 COR1:18 Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us. 19 For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, 20 and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ s blood on the cross. 21 This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. 22 Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body.

Result of Having Gods Transforming Spirit in You COL 3:3 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God s right hand. 2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. 3 For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 And when Christ, who is your [a] life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.

5 So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. 6 Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. [b] 7 You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. 8 But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. 9 Don t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. 10 Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. 11 In this new life, it doesn t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, [c] circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, [d] slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. 12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
