OBITUARY Willa Belle Taylor Johnson was born on March 16, 1938, to the late L.J. and Clara C. Taylor in Houston County, GA. On Wednesday, June 11,2003, she went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. A native of Macon, GA, Willa graduated with honors from Ballard Hudson Senior High School (Macon, GA) and Grady Memorial School of Nursing in Atlanta, GA. She also attended Columbia Union College in Takoma, MD, and Mary Mount College (Arlington, VA). Willa began her nursing career at the Medical Center of Central GA (Macon, GA), and Eugene Talmadge Medical Center in Augusta, GA. Subsequently, she moved to Washington, DC and worked in the nursing field at St. Elizabeth s Hospital for 35 years. She re tired as a Supervisory Psychiatric Nurse at St. Elizabeth s Hospital and Greater Southeast Commu nity Hospital. After retirement, Willa volunteered at Charles Hart Middle School, where her sister Gloria Jean Taylor, is an educator, The Best Friends Foundation and vari ous political campaigns in Prince Georges County. A kind and compassionate person, Willa often reached out to assist others in times of need. Willa gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Beulah Baptist Church of Macon, GA. She began attending From the Heart Church Minis tries during the "House Front" days and officially joined "FTHCM" on September 20, 1998. Willa be came a member of the Ministry of Health & Healing

from it s inception and she went on to spearhead the volunteer program for the None Suffer Lack Center for Health and Healing. Additionally, she was affiliated with the Les Quelles Social Club and Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority. Her favorite pastime activities included cooking, gardening and learning to play the organ. Realizing a time to love, Willa, on June 16, 1968, was united in Holy Matrimony to Roy Marshall Johnson, Sr. In this union, Willa and Roy were blessed with two sons, Roy Jr., who is currently serving in the United States Air Force stationed at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri and Raymond Mark of Oxon Hill, MD who works as a systems engineer. In addition to her long and rewarding professional ca reer, Willa was the consummate mother, sparing noth ing with respect to her beloved sons. She was their mother first, teacher and friend. Willa cherished her family and was completely devoted to their well-being. The memory of Willa will be cherished by her beloved husband of 35 years, Roy M. Johnson, Sr.; two loving and devoted sons, Roy M. Johnson, Jr. and Ramon M. Johnson; five loving sisters, Lola Omoregie, Barbara Woods and Carol Heard of Macon, GA, Gloria Taylor of Largo, MD and Patricia Austin of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; one brother, James Taylor in Macon, GA; five caring and loyal sisters-in-law, Rosa M. Johnson, Naomi Williams, Dorothy (Julian) Clark and Elease Smith of Augusta, GA and Marie Johnson of Columbus Ohio; five caring brothers-in-law, James Grier, Willie Heard of Macon, GA, Frank Johnson of England, Walter Johnson of Columbus, Ohio and Pete Johnson of Chi cago, Illinois and a host of nieces, nephews, relative and friends.
