Rachel and Jasmine both have tricks up their sleeves to make the other look bad. These two women will do anything to get their husband elected...rachel and Jasmine both have some dark secrets. The book is awesome...keep up the good work and may God continue to bless and keep you. This story is truly about tit for tat. You have two "First Ladies" - Jasmine and Rachel whose husbands are God-fearing men that are after the same thing - Power and Prestige. This story will have you on the edge of your seat, shaking your head and saying DANG! After both of their
husbands are nominated to run for President of the American Coalition, these ladies take off the kid gloves and go tit for tat both believing their husband is the best candidate to run one of the largest religious organizations. So, who do you think will win - Street-Smart Rachel or Book-Smart Jasmine? Believe me it comes down to the wire and it's a ride like none other. If Rachel gets one in on Jasmine, believe me, Jasmine throws a serious gut punch. Do things go too far - I'd say so. Afterall, they are God-fearing ladies - right? But, hold on, is there someone else waiting in the wings and enjoying the rivalry for self gain? Trust and believe, you won't want to put this one down until the last page. I couldn't swipe my Kindle fast enough. The story is quite amusing, because real First Ladies would never act like this (with my eyes bugged out)! Sit back and enjoy. Praise for authors Victoria Christopher Murray and ReShonda Tate Billingsley! Their collaboration of "Sinners & Saints" was unique in the making. Ms. Murray and Ms. Billingsley have taken two of our first ladies, Rachel Jackson Adams and Jasmine Larson Bush (county versus city, North versus South), put them together, and the fireworks started. Both Rachel and Jasmine's husbands (Lester and Hosea) pastors of a church in Houston and a church in New York, were nominated for president of the American Baptist Coalition. The Coalition is in Los Angeles, and both travel there with family and friends to compete (for their husbands sake) for the presidency. The first ladies of each church, Rachel and Jasmine are flawed character whose hearts are in the right places, but can't ever seem to stay on the right path. Their aim is to stand behind their men, but their own priorities always seem to get into their way. Their past comes to haunt them in this battle for the win.it is amazing how two authors can work so closely together to bring such a powerful, hilarious, page turner as "Sinners & Saints" to our audience.thank you Ms. Murray and thank you Ms. Billingsley! Jasmine prefers to work in her faith. Neither lady is above dirty tricks to get what they want.there are several other characters in the book who will keep you guessing about their intentions. I've said it before and I'll say it again, "Oh what a tangled web we weave; when at first, we practice to deceive" ~ The LOVE of MONEY is the root of all EVIL - which is what this story reminded me of - Jasmine, Jasmine, girrrrll, what in the world are we going to do with you? Although, I do appreciate the sacrifice Jasmine made to protect her husband & family from the hands of evil, even though it meant risking her own reputation.
