Phillips Senior Pastor Jonathan Harris Associate Pastor Emily Kirby Director of Christian Education Jennifer Hupko Director of Youth Ministry Kathy Heustess Director of Coastal Samaritan Counseling Center Norman McQueen Director of Music D. Scott Ferguson Pianist/Organist Welcome Thank you for being here for worship this Sunday! Our mission at First Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We are inspired by the words of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, who encouraged believers to do all the good you can, in all the ways you can. Our Church office is open Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM & Friday 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM 901 N. Kings Hwy 843-448-7164

First Church Summer Study Opportunities! 5:45-7:45 p.m. June 25-29 (VBS) Brittain Center North Campus Come and join us during our Vacation Bible School for an adult study, where we will look at what defines us. Come and explore, do our cultural norms define us or does the gospel? 9:00-9:45 a.m. Sunday Wesley 201 (Little Church) Children s Sunday School Children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade come and join us for a large room Sunday School experience. We will have fun and fellowship learning about our favorite super heros of the Bible this summer! Join us Memoria Day weekend through Labor Day weekend this summer! *Nursery Sunday School classes for 4 years old and under will also be available. Did You Know? Many of the air conditioning units installed on the church property are 25-30 years old. One unit was installed in 1984! While we have certainly been blessed by the longevity of these units, they are failing daily. The one serving the sanctuary is one of those and could go out at any time. Repairs and maintenance grow increasingly expensive and burdensome due to the age of these units. Replacement costs will likely deplete and exceed budgeted funds for maintenance since the storm damaged sanctuary roof cost $18,000 to repair and the roof at the parsonage will cost another $8,000. We are asking for extra financial support to meet this demand. If you would like to, please make a second-mile donation (beyond your pledge) for this purpose by sending your check to FUMC, or dropping it in the offering plate. Mark them: New HVAC and repairs.
