Environmental Ministry News: MassReLeaf Ministry Tree Planting Event Saturday, May 2, 9 am You are invited to join volunteers from the Village Church and others to plant trees, shrubs and wildflowers at the Housing Authority Projects on Morton Circle (near the police station) and Weston Road in Wellesley. Nearly half of this low-income housing is occupied by the elderly or disabled. No prior knowledge is required; training starts at 9:00 and free lunch is provided at noon. Supervised children are welcomed to come help. Bring your own shovels and rakes if you wish. These are grandstand tickets close to third base with excellent sight lines of the infield and outfield and a good sight line to home plate. The seats are together in rows of 5 seats each. Tickets are $53.00 each with a $.50 Red Sox handling fee for a total of $53.50 each. Worship Conversations Tuesday May 12 and Wednesday May 20, 6:30 pm, Village Common Our Church covenant begins with an affirmation that we are banded together to maintain the worship of God. Ordination and Installation Vanessa Payne Rose will be ordained and installed as Associate Pastor of Children and Families at First Church UCC Fairfield, Connecticut on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM. All are invited to attend the service and reception. Vanessa is a daughter of Alan and Janet Rose and was in care at Village Church while she was at Yale Divinity School.

What s happening in 10 am Church School today? Kindergarten students and younger will be welcomed in their classrooms before 10 am worship begins. The Infant/Toddler Room is located on the main floor just outside the Sanctuary to the left of the Chancel. 2 year olds through Kindergarten classrooms are located on the upper floor. Children should be picked up promptly at the conclusion of worship. Grades 1-8 will worship with their parents until it is time for class, as indicated in the bulletin. At that time, Grades 1-8 will meet in Simon s Studio. Classes for Grades 1 8 conclude at 11:15 or the end of worship whichever is later. The Family Room is available for parents who aren t quite ready to leave their infants and toddlers in childcare.
