On Saturday, October 20 th at 2:30 PM, the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., will hold a Breast Cancer Awareness Fair at the 802 Bellaire Boulevard campus. This event will be both educational and informational. Participants can sign up for FREE breast, cervical and colon cancer screenings. Following the 10:45 AM service, there will be food trucks for members to purchase food and fellowship while sitting under tents, watching a big outdoor TV screen. In preparation, we re asking members to bring their tents and chair on Saturday, October 27 th between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM to make a TENT City in the rear of the 900 Bellaire campus. More details forthcoming.

The Annual Fall Festival will be October 31, 2018 from 6:30 PM 8:00 PM at the 900 campus, back parking lot. There will be food, candy, games, bounce house, and music. Also, we are asking members to donate candy for the Trunk or Treat event. Please, no costumes. For more information about this event, contact Bro. Oneway Driving School is offering Westside members a $100 per person discount for Teenage & Adult Driver Education Classes. Class is Monday-Friday for three weeks and one Saturday at the end. A student is allowed five missed days but must make up the missed days. Students MUST complete driver s education SIX months from the time he/she starts. If you would like to enroll, discount cards are available through the church office. After securing the discount card then you must contact Oneway by e-mail, onewaydrivingschool@hotmail.com or telephone, (972) 219-8885. Don t forget to get the VOE letter from the attendance office at your school. The cost is $350 per person. This price includes all class, driving, and permit testing.

Calling all men, ages16 and older to join us on the second Sunday in November (11 th ) in ministering to the young men incarcerated at the Gainesville State School in Gainesville, Texas. Since they can t come to us, we must take the Word of God to them. The deadline to sign-up is Sunday, November 4 th. See Bro. Clarence Fluellen or send him an email at clarencefluellen@yahoo.com for more information. Please support our Youth Sock Drive. The sock drive will be held from now through November 25 th. Sometime after November 25 th, the youth will be delivering these socks to various organizations. Please donate new socks for all ages and place them in the boxes located at each kiosk. The SISTERS Network Annual Walk will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Richland College in Dallas. Please register at www.sisternetworkdallas.org to participate. The name for the Westside team is Fifteen and Still Slaying Cancer, and the entry fee is $30. If you would like to be a Captain of this team and assist with fundraising, please contact Sis. The Nominating Committee is accepting applications for the Policy & Procedure Committee - open September 23 rd, closes October 14 th at 12:00 PM (noon).
