The House Church Ministry is the place where pastoral and diaconal care and discipleship is provided. New City Fellowship is committed to a community of house churches through which the primary care of the people of God for one another can take place. Our commitment to each other as fellow members of God s family means that we will walk through all the ups and downs of life together. It also means that we commit to supporting each other s basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, nurture, love, and care. Pastors and deacons assist the members of the church in fulfilling this call to love, both by modeling and by teaching the congregation how to walk in the grace of the Gospel to fulfill this calling. Presently there are five House Church Teams each named by a book from the Bible and representing a community of house churches: Ephesians, Galatians, Romans, Colossians, and Deuteronomy. If you re not already in a House Church, join one! It s the best way to get to know others and share life together. Volunteer to serve as a Mercy Coordinator in a House Church. Serve in a Diaconal Ministry during House Churches @ Work (HC@W). For more info contact Katy Stern katy@ncfstl.org or (314)726-2302 x243

Stewardship Ministry The Stewardship Ministry provides biblically-based training and education on the use of God s resources. Grab a copy of the Stewardship devotional and study the Word. Become a stewardship mentor to a man, woman or couple in our church family. For more info contact Charlie Svoboda charles.r.svoboda.jr@gmail.com or (314)216-1155

The Exchange Ministries extends the physical resources of food, clothing, household goods and furniture to one another, as we share His possessions together as family. Come work in The Exchange with us to help church family members shop, to restock shelves, make furniture deliveries, fill boxes for Food Pantry recipients, sort clothing and household goods. Spread the word that The Exchange is for the whole church to use. Come shop for yourself! Join the google group: NewCityExchange to see furniture items available Bring donations to church during our monthly Exchange drives For more info contact Lynn Scruggs scruggslynn7@gmail.com or (314)807-1309

The Auto Ministry provides minor and routine repairs by appointment only, sound counsel regarding car purchases and maintenance, and donated vehicles on a need basis. Any second Saturday, join the Auto Ministry volunteers to work on a car, or clean a car to ready it for donation to a family in need Search for car donations For more info contact Maurice Alexander maurice.alexander@wnco.com or (314)226-5717

The Immigrant & Refugee Housing Ministry provides short-term housing for individuals and families in need on campus, and in the West End neighborhood through community partnerships. Enter in to the immigrant and refugee s lives through acts of hospitality meals, rides to and from English class, shopping or work, visiting a St. Louis attraction together, and just hanging out Become a mentor helping link a new friend with employment opportunities Provide a month s rent $150/person or $200/family For more info contact Todd Fizer todd@ncfstl.org or (618)795-2500

The Hospitality Ministry welcomes visitors and members to the church, serves the congregation by coordinating fellowship times, and connects people to ways they can become involved in the life of the church. Volunteer with one of the Hospitality Teams Communion Prep, Greeters, Logistics, Information Desk, Ushers, Hospitality Hour, Special Events, Parking, or Church Decor For more info contact Janine Ushe jawst1@yahoo.com or (314)704-8050

The Employment Ministry is in its infancy. The need for assisting people who are unemployed or underemployed to find and maintain gainful employment continues to exist. We see it most effective with faithful mentors who have skill in networking. Become a mentor to someone unemployed or underemployed. Walk with them through the process of applying for work until they become employed. Continue your friendship by encouraging and checking in with them once they have landed a job. Help someone write a resume Share employment opportunities with us! Give rides to and from work For more info contact Michael Yarbrough myarbrough@ncfstl.org or (314)726-2302 x243
