The House Church Ministry is the place where pastoral and diaconal care and discipleship is provided. New City Fellowship is committed to a community of house churches through which the primary care of the people of God for one another can take place. Our commitment to each other as fellow members of God s family means that we will walk through all the ups and downs of life together. It also means that we commit to supporting each other s basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, nurture, love, and care. Pastors and deacons assist the members of the church in fulfilling this call to love, both by modeling and by teaching the congregation how to walk in the grace of the Gospel to fulfill this calling. Presently there are five House Church Teams each named by a book from the Bible and representing a community of house churches: Ephesians, Galatians, Romans, Colossians, and Deuteronomy. If you re not already in a House Church, join one! It s the best way to get to know others and share life together. Volunteer to serve as a Mercy Coordinator in a House Church. Serve in a Diaconal Ministry during House Churches @ Work (HC@W). For more info contact Katy Stern katy@ncfstl.org or (314)726-2302 x243

Spread the word that The Exchange is for the whole church to use. Come shop for yourself! The Employment Ministry is in its infancy. The need for assisting people who are unemployed or underemployed to find and maintain gainful employment continues to exist. We see it most effective with faithful mentors who have skill in networking. Become a mentor to someone unemployed or underemployed. Walk with them through the process of applying for work until they become employed. Continue your friendship by encouraging and checking in with them once they have landed a job.
