Doctrinal Statements 1. We believe that "all scripture is given by the inspiration of God". The Bible is the Word of God in written form. The King James Translation 1611 is the ONLY one to use in studying and teaching. 2. We believe man was originally created in the image and after the likeness of God, and that he fell through sin. As a consequence of his sin, he brought death to the whole human race, both physical and spiritual. We believe in the total depravity of man and every child of Adam is born into the world 1
with a nature which possesses no spark of divine life. 3. We believe Jesus was the Son of God, He came into this world via the womb of Mary, a Hebrew virgin girl, and that by His death He became the Saviour of the lost. He arose from the dead on the third day in the same body in which He had lived and died, and His resurrection body is the pattern of that body which ultimately will be given to all believers. 4. We believe no one can be saved unless they receive Christ's sacrificial death on the cross as their payment for sin. No 2
attainments in morality however high, no baptism or other ordinance however administered, can help the sinner to take even one step toward heaven; our redemption has been accomplished solely by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ: and no repentance, no confession, no feeling, no good resolutions, no sincere efforts, no submission to the rules and regulations of any church, can add in the very least degree to the value of the blood, or the merit of the finished work wrought for us-by Him. 5. We believe that the salvation of the believer comes only through 3
faith in Christ and His finished work; and no acts such as confession, baptism, prayer or faithful service can be added to believing as a condition of salvation. 6. We believe salvation is BY GRACE, THROUGH FAITH, PLUS NOTHING. 7. We believe in ETERNAL SECURITY FOR THE BELIEVER. All who are born again are assured of their salvation from the very moment they take Him to be their Saviour and this assurance is not founded upon any of their merits whatsoever, but solely and wholly upon the finished work of Christ. 4
8. We believe Jesus Christ, BY HIMSELF, put away our EVERY sin by the shedding of His precious, blood on the cross of Calvary, the believer can NEVER come into condemnation and even our conscience is free of the guilt of our sins. 9. We believe, when an unregenerate person receives Christ as his Saviour, he passes immediately out of spiritual death into spiritual life, and from the old creation into the new; being justified from ALL things, accepted before the Father accordingly as Christ His Son is accepted, loved as Christ is 5
loved, having his place and portion as likened to Him and one with Him FOREVER! We believe in this from the moment he is saved. 10. We believe chat sanctification, which is a setting apart by God, is ALREADY complete for every saved person because his position toward God is the same as Christ's position. Since the believer is in Christ, he is set apart by God in the measure in which Christ is set apart by God. We believe, however, that he retains his sin nature, which cannot be eradicated in this life. 11. We believe all who are united, to the risen and ascended Son of 6
God are members of the Church which is the body of Christ. It's members are constituted as such, regardless of membership or non-membership in the organized churches of earth. We believe this membership in the "Church" (body of Christ) entitles any believer to attend any church on earth and worship. Because water baptism is not a requirement to become a member of the "Church" (body of Christ) it should not be required of a believer to join a local assembly. 12. We believe, wholly apart from salvation benefits, which are 7
bestowed equally upon all who believe, rewards are promised to those who work in the service of the Lord. 13. We believe the Godhead eternally: exists in three persons. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. 14. We believe in dispensational teachings; that God has dealt with man in different ways at different times. Each time, man ends in failure. 15. We believe we are living in the age (dispensation) of GRACE, and while the Bible as a whole is for our learning, it is the writings of 8
the Apostle Paul which apply to us in this dispensation. 16. We believe the crucifixion of Christ, brought to a close (by setting aside) God's dealings with the Jews, and another great event will bring to a close the present age (dispensation) in which we live. This great event (the mystery) is referred to as the "Rapture" (catching away), which will be when the Lord comes in the air to receive to Himself into heaven His own who are alive and remain unto His coming and all who have fallen asleep in Jesus. We should be constantly looking for this event to take 9
place, for the time is quickly drawing to a close. 17. We believe the translation of the Church will be followed by the fulfilment of Israel's seventieth week (Daniel 9:27 and Revelation 6:1-19:21) during which time the Church, the body of Christ, will be in heaven. The closing of this event will also bring the "times of the Gentiles" to a close. 18. We believe the period of Great Tribulation on the earth will be climaxed by the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth as He went, in person. He will come with power and great glory to introduce the millennial age 10
(dispensation), to bind Satan and place him in the abyss and establish a righteous government which will last for a thousand years. 19. We believe that, at death, those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ, for salvation, pass immediately into His presence and there remain in conscious bliss, until the resurrection of the glorified body when Christ comes for His own, whereupon soul and body reunited shall be associated with Him forever in glory. The spirits and souls of the unbelieving remain, after death, conscious of condemnation and in misery until 11
the final judgement of the great white throne at the close of the millennium, when soul and body reunited shall be cast into the lake of fire, not to be annihilated, but to be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power. 20. We believe the one thousand years reign of Christ on the earth will be brought to a close after the great white throne judgement, ending the last and final age (dispensation) of God dealing with man on the earth, and at that time, there will be a "new heaven" and a "new earth" 12
in which the redeemed through the ages will live, for eternity. 13
