PERSONAL WORD SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2015 8:45 & 11 AM Sanctuary FULL COMMUNION The 8:45 AM worship service is broadcast via 15-minute delay from 9-10 AM Sundays on WAPI-1070 AM. SERMON Dr. Andrew Wolfe MUSIC 8:45 & 11:00 AM Sanctuary Choir & Trinity Orchestra MINISTER ON CALL Suzanne Pruitt, 230-3362 8:45 & 11:00 AM WESLEY HALL Rev. Nathan Carden MAY 31 - ATTENDANCE 1,293 Total Worship Attendance 854 Traditional 384 Contact 636 Sunday School Attendance Words cannot adequately express the gratitude that we feel for your gracious and generous send off. It hardly seems possible that it was 18 years ago when we came to Trinity. Half of my ministry has been here. These have been rich and fulfilling years for our family. When I came Trinity, I found a church rich in its heritage of ministry and rich in dedicated folks who loved their church and their Lord. When I first stepped into the pulpit I did so, fearing and trembling, knowing who had occupied it before me. When a church has that kind of reputation and heritage, there is the temptation to rest on your laurels. But that is not what I found. I found a church ready for a new chapter, and eager to see where God was leading. In discerning where God was leading us, we developed a simple mission statement to Gather, Grow, Go and Glorify. These years have been filled with living that mission. This has been a team effort. There are so many names that I could call, some are now a part of the communion of saints, but still not name them all. When Paul speaks of the body of Christ, he could have been talking about Trinity because each member has been a part of the whole. But beyond us, this has been a movement of God. At every step of the way, I have had an awareness of God s grace present with us. I have said before, if anything, I think that God had/has bigger dreams for Trinity than I ever did. If I learned anything at Trinity, it has been to get out the way and let God go to work. And that works continues. You are tired of hearing me talk about our dog, James Dean; we have him because of you! James Dean loves to ride in the car, but he doesn t like the back seat. He wants to be in the front. He doesn t look out the side window. He likes to put his paws on the dashboard and look ahead to where we are going. That is where I will be, looking ahead at what God has in store for Trinity. I do not have to tell you what great leadership, dedication and talent you have in your pastors and your staff. The best is yet to come. From the bottom of our hearts, the Wolfe family thanks you for opening your hearts and sharing your lives with us. We are grateful for this journey, for all that we have shared together. You will always have a place in our hearts. INFORMATION FOR GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS Welcome to Trinity United Methodist Church!
