Monday, March 26: How wide is the love of Christ Questions for discussion/reflection: 1) What type of place have you been to where it seems like it just keeps on going forever? 2) When Psalm 103:12 says that as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us., what do you think that means? 3) Do you believe that God has a wide, ongoing, never-ending love for you? 4) When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he was giving up his own life so that God could forgive us and offer his ongoing, never-ending love. What do you think of that? How does that make you feel?

What has Jesus already saved you from? What do you need God to save you from in your life now?

Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep. How long did it take you to get there? 2) Did you know that the diameter distance from the earth to the sun is 92.96 million miles? If you got into a jumbo jet, it would take you about 19 years to travel from the earth to the sun! 3) When Jesus says that he will leave a flock of 99 sheep to get just one who has wandered off, how far do you think he went? 4) How long do you think God s love is for you? Is it a short road trip? Like the distance of from the earth to the Sun? What is the tallest building or mountain you have ever seen? 2) What do you think about the idea that the entire space in between the ground all the way up to the sky matches God s love for you? 3) What are ways that Jesus showed how high God s love is for us? Thursday, March 29: How deep is the love of Christ Scripture Psalm 103:8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. Psalm 137:7-8 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. Theme/Emphasis/imagery God s love goes deeper than anything we can know or imagine. God also shows his love to us when we are at any low points in our lives. Thursday, March 29: How deep is the love of Christ Questions for discussion/reflection 1) Have you ever tried to dig a deep hole into the ground, or a pit at the beach? What s the farthest you think you could dig? Can God go farther than that? 2) Imagine swimming in a big lake or an ocean (let s say you re a really good swimmer!). How far down do you think you could go if you hold your breath? How does God s love compare to the depths of the ocean? 3) Think about how deep God s love is for each of you. Do you think it goes deeper than the ocean? Does it go deeper than any hole you can dig? How far do you think God s love goes down?
