Message from the Board Dear 4 th Day, Are you someone who would like to be involved in the East Ohio Emmanuel Emmaus Community, but simply do not have the time or are not physically able? Please prayerfully consider contributing financially to this ministry. As with most things, the cost associated with putting on a Walk Weekend continues to rise. The Board of Directors continually reviews costs in an effort to minimize the cost that is covered by Pilgrims and Team alike. Your contributions to EOEE would help to cover associated costs of insurance, weekend supplies and other costs associated with putting on a Walk weekend. Our intent is to keep the cost of a Walk weekend as low as possible so that it is not an obstacle for Pilgrims or Team members. Thank you in advance for considering financial assistance for this ministry. If you feel lead to contribute, please make checks out to East Ohio Emmanuel Emmaus (EOEE) and send your contributions to: Mark Boslett 2564 Glenshire Circle Uniontown,OH 44685 Do you know a 4 th Day who isn t getting the Newsletter? Please give them the following link so they can sign up. Would you like to be part of the EOEE Prayer Chain? Use the following website to sign up. These are both used for changing your email for both of these as well. Please be aware that the prayer chain is moderated by volunteers. Sometimes there is a wait for prayers to be posted, as we are not home to access the computer where we have the prayer chain. We get to them as soon as we are able. Newsletter eoee.org/mailman/listinfo/newsletter_eoee.org Prayer chain eoee.org/mailman/listinfo/prayerchain_eoee.org Website eoee.org gives info on both of these and more!

Dear Emmaus Brothers and Sisters in Christ, God is so GOOD! Our enemy is prowling about looking for whom he might devour but we are not consumed for greater is HE that is within us than he that is in the world. Everyone on this team is getting a lesson on perseverance. We have had an amazing time of fellowship, worship, bonding, and testing. We know that God has some amazing plans for Walk #95 because Satan is throwing out all the stops in attacking this team. We have had men struggling with sin, work conflicts, family stresses, and spiritual attacks. In the face of this assault, God has demonstrated the truth of His words, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. We are working together to keep our minds stayed on Jesus and HE is giving us perfect peace as we trust and rely on Him! Jesus has set His face on Camp Wanake Oct. 18 and His divine appointment with the Men of Walk #95 and we are blessed to follow Him. Frank Ballard and Mike McCullough Dear East Ohio Emmaus Community, As we prepare for the October walk, the women of EOEE Team #95 are diligent and faithful in their meeting. Each work group is busy; we have had a successful day of talk preview; our time of fellowship, prayer and communion is richly blessed with the ever-increasing presence and power of the Holy Spirit. As a team we are grateful to be in service to the Lord, our Rock and stronghold, as we eagerly prepare to welcome, host, and serve 30 pilgrims on their Walk to Emmaus. We ask for your continued prayers for this team and the pilgrims, all of whom God has called for this time. We will declare the power and glory of our God by the blowing of the shofar as we continue the journey to complete His plans for Walk #95. Psalm 18:1-2 I love you Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. DeColores! Your sisters in Christ, Stephanie Bradford, Lay Leader Dawn Crum, Assistant Lay Leader

Continuing Ed: Board & Committee roles The Board exist for one purpose: to enable Teams to serve the Pilgrims on the Walks. Our job is to clear the obstacles, provide the proper support and guidance and to allow the Team to be the hands and feet of Christ. Pre-Walk PW manages the incoming flow of Pilgrims for Walks. They are the first line of contact, reviewing the applications, making sure they are properly filled in and signed and keeping a count of how many will be going on the Walk. They communicate with the Board and Communications to get the word out when Walks are low in numbers. They track the payments as well and turn the Pilgrim money into the treasurer. When the weekend starts, they are responsible for checking in all Pilgrims and Team and collecting any final payments from Pilgrims that drop. Walk Committee Walk Committee does the hard work, starting even before the weekend starts. Walk sets up the Camp with all the normal equipment and supplies. Agape room, signage, barn setup, etc. They do not set up chapel (handled by the Chapel Team), the Kitchen (handled by the Kitchen team) or any Tech (handled by Tech committee), but they do everything else. When a weekend starts, they manage most of the 4 th Day activities, while the Teams handle the inside stuff. On Saturday night, they are the only people to break the cloister of the conference room when they set up and start the fire while the Pilgrims are at Candlelight. At the end of each weekend, they prep the camp for the next weekend s Walk or they pack it away for the season. Post-Walk This team is responsible for the 9 or 10 monthly Gatherings. In many ways, they are the busiest of the groups since they have so many more events to manage. They set up tables and chairs and ensure that there are speakers and Pastors for each Gathering. They also find a church to volunteer to host the Walk to the Manger program in December. Unseen but very important roles: Procurement Procurement has a long list of materials and supplies that they have to manage to keep our Walks moving. Everything from Team Manuals to cups and plates and crosses, they ensure that all of the necessary items are supplied. Each LL gets a list of materials that will be supplied for the weekend. If it s not on the list, it s up to the LL or Teams to supply. Communications Communications handles all contact with the 4 th Day. Newsletters, Facebook, email lists, etc. They provide the vital communication link for the community. In the future, they will also manage the website as well. Tech Support Tech support is in charge of all audio and video work for the weekends and gatherings. They make sure the gear is performing properly and train teams in how to use it. Agape Our Agape person manages the agape that we send out and receive from communities all over the world. As cool as it is to get something from South Africa or from a prison in California, it is just as cool for them to receive one from US! These are the roles that make up the Board of EOEE. ALL ARE IMPORTANT ROLES! We are each pieces of the Body of Christ that reaches out to the Pilgrims on each Emmaus weekend. We appreciate all that each of you do to make disciples of Jesus Christ to the world.
