October 24, 6:30-7:30 p.m. More than a day devoted simply to taking selfies, Social Media Sunday offers the church the opportunity to utilize a number of platforms to spread our messages among our congregation, as well as the world at large. St. David s Episcopal Church has a couple of tools we use to notify people of upcoming events as well as reflect upon recent activities. We primarily use two social media programs to communicate: Facebook: Facebook is our most popular platform. Our primary account, https://www.facebook.com/ saintdavidchurch/ is where we post information. We often display pictures, detail events such as special services, and share links to videos or other forms of media. Give our page a like to be informed about our news. Instagram: Instagram is a popular app that uses pictures or short videos accompanied with brief messages. Simply download the application on your smartphone and follow our youth @st_davids_youth and St. David s @stdavidsepiscopalroswell. If you choose to snap a picture or share a message about church on Sunday, be sure to use #sms18 and #stddavidsroswellga so that others can find your post. While social media may often be associated with frivolity and vanity, St. David s aims to focus on ways it allows us to connect with one another. Valuable information may just be a click away!
