Vision Statement Our vision is to be more than a refuge; it is to be a revitalizing community where all may be saved, healed, strengthened, and equipped to go into the world on active mission for our Lord Jesus Christ. Published by Trinity Baptist Church April Events by Dr. Ryan Wilson Easter Sunrise Easter comes when we least expect it. The women went to the tomb that morning to anoint Jesus body for burial, but what they encountered changed the course of their lives and our history. Through the resurrection, we see God conquering death and showing us that Jesus way is stronger than any evil the world holds. Paul told the church in Corinth, O death where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory?...but thanks be to God who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope that you will experience that victory through your faith in Jesus Christ this Easter. Once again, we will have our Easter Sunrise service on April 16 at 6:45 a.m. Come out and experience Jesus resurrection and then stay for breakfast provided by our Brotherhood. Go, Go, Jonah On April 22 nd and 23 rd, our children s ministry will present Go, Go, Jonah. Many of you remember that God wanted Jonah to go to Nineveh and tell the folks to repent of their sinful ways and return to God. However, Jonah didn t like the people of Nineveh and decided to run in the opposite direction, because he knew that God was a forgiving God and might forgive the whole city of Nineveh. We are reminded how judgmental we can be toward others, but how compassionate and merciful God really is. Come support our 1 st -5 th graders as they share about God s love and grace!

A great way to get to know others at Trinity is through a new pictorial directory and we need your smiling face in it! The photography dates will be April 6-8. Each family or individual photographed will receive a free directory and a free 8 by 10 portrait. Anyone interested in purchasing additional photos may do so at the time of photography. You can sign up for your time slot on Sundays in the Gathering Area. If you have questions, please contact Nan Thompson or Kristen Vincent.

Rebecca Sires Children s Corner 903-1303/edisto5@att.net Happy Spring! My favorite season is upon us. The new flower blooms, the beautiful green tree buds, the chirping birds, and Baseball/Softball season makes me happy, happy, happy. It also is a great reminder of the new life we have in Jesus. Take a minute to remind your children of this. When we ask Jesus into our hearts, we have eternal new life. It is more beautiful than all the flowers on all the earth. Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Picnic is scheduled for Sunday, April 2 from 11:45 2pm. You can drop off candy-filled eggs to the church office by Friday, March 31. This is always a fun time for all ages. Go Go, Jonah practice is going strong. Please mark your calendars for our performance dates. You will not want to miss this amazing production: Saturday, April 22 at 7pm and Sunday, April 23 at 10:30am. If you have a 3 rd through 5 th grade child who wants to go to Camp Prism, the deadline is May 31 st. Registration papers can be found in the church office. See Rebecca or Ryan with any questions. Dates are July 11-14. Our Kindergarten and 1 st grade Sunday School class needs a teacher. Please let me know if you are interested in helping out every other month with this class. It is a great way to start your Sunday mornings. Please check your Children s Church and Nursery Rotation dates and let me know ASAP if you have a conflict with any dates so we can make sure we have you covered. Our nursery is consistently busy and safety is our priority with our sweet kiddos. A look ahead End of Year Pool Party TBD VBS June 11-15, 5:30-8 Camp Prism July 11-14 Sports Camp July 24-28 I want to take a minute and thank all of the volunteers that help with our children on Sundays and Wednesdays. You mean so much to me and you are making a lifelong impression on the children of Trinity. Preston Cooley Youth News 723-4889 Hello everyone! Spring is here even though it has really been here for a few weeks with some winter thrown in here and there. Before we get into April, I want to thank the youth and my helpers for another successful Youth Sunday. I heard lots of great feedback from the congregation about the service, and it was welldeserved. The drama team did an excellent job with their performance (despite some minor injuries that occurred), all the speakers were loud and clear, the youth choir and ensemble did a fantastic job, Ryan Nation played piano for a hymn, Audrey Boyles played the Bassoon for our prelude, and Brianna and Sara had an insightful and humorous homily about their time at Trinity. Thanks to Kelli and Karon for helping me with preparation for the worship service, and thanks to all the youth who did such a fantastic job! As we move into April, our schedules seem to pile up quickly. Spring Break, concerts, sports, musical, and school work are in full swing; and additionally, we are in our usual Sunday and Wednesday night schedule here at church. Thank you to all my parents who, despite the busyness of this time of year, are willing to help out with dinners and being down in the youth room to assist me. Check the April calendar that I will be mailing out and placing on the youth bulletin board to see what you are assigned to do for this month. We have also been asked to help out with the Easter Egg Hunt Sunday, April 2 nd. This is always a fun activity to be a part of; so please come help hide eggs for the younger group to find! As Easter fast approaches, let us be mindful that this journey to the Cross reminds us of the love our God has for us, as we continue to work in new ways to spread that love amongst our community.

Music, Missions, and More Rev. Tony Vincent tony@trinitybaptistsc.org Get Well, Linda! Linda Hobbs has been a permanent fixture at Trinity in our worship services for almost 13 years. She is out for an extended period of time for a surgical procedure, and it feels like we re missing a part of who we are on Sundays and Wednesday nights in choir rehearsal! Linda, we are praying that you heal well and that you feel like being back with us helping us to worship soon! While she is out we have a terrific opportunity to encourage two younger generation musicians who are learning how to lead in worship. Harrison Catoe and Tim Heist are two Clemson students who enjoy playing piano and organ. While neither of them are majoring in music, they both have remarkable musical gifts. Take the time to encourage them as they play; if we want church music to be vibrant in the future, we must support young musicians like Harrison and Tim! LLL Event Thursday, April 20, departing at 9:30 am We will travel to the Tryon (NC) International Equestrian Center to observe a hunting and jumping competition, see the facility, and enjoy lunch together. Cost: to be determined. Annual Free Sale Coming Up! Each year the Young Adult SS Class collects (clean and usable) clothing and household items to give away to needy families in our community. You can drop off items at Trinity on April 26-28 during office hours or on Thursday and Friday from 6-8pm. Contact David Howle or a member of the Young Adult Class for more information!
