Gd created me fr a lve relatinship with Him. Everything Gd says and des is an expressin f lve. A lve relatinship with Gd is mre imprtant than any ther single factr in my life. T be lved by Gd is the highest relatinship, the highest achievement, and the highest psitin in life. T be lved by Gd is the highest relatinship, the highest achievement, and the highest psitin in life. Gd did nt create me fr time; He created me fr eternity. I will let my present be mlded and shaped by what I am t becme in Christ.

Seek first the kingdm and his righteusness. I will make sure I am investing in things that are lasting. When yur relatinship is as it ught t be, Yu ll be in fellwship with the Father. When my relatinship is as it ught t be, I will always be in fellwship with the Father. I will make the pririty in my life t lve Him with all my heart. I will have my quiet time because I knw Him and lve Him, nt just because I want t learn mre abut Him. Gd takes the initiative. He chses us, lves us, and reveals his eternal purpses fr ur lives. Gd always takes the initiative in this lve relatinship. I d nt chse Him. He chses me, lves me, and reveals His eternal purpses fr my life. I cannt knw Gd s activity unless He takes initiative t reveal it t me. Gd s plan fr the advancement f His kingdm depends n His relatinship with His peple. The relatinship Gd wants t have with me will be real and persnal. Gd s plan fr the advancement f the kingdm depends n His wrking in real and practical ways thrugh His relatinships with His peple. Scripture References Related T Unit 3: Matthew 22:37-38 [NET] Jesus said t him, Lve the Lrd yur Gd with all yur heart, with all yur sul, and with all yur mind. Jhn 3:16 [NET]

Fr this is the way Gd lved the wrld: He gave his ne and nly Sn, s that everyne wh believes in him will nt perish but have eternal life. Jhn 14:21 [NET] The persn wh has my cmmandments and beys them is the ne wh lves me. The ne wh lves me will be lved by my Father, and I will lve him and will reveal myself t him. Rmans 8:35,37,39 [NET] (Rm 8:35 [NET]) Wh will separate us frm the lve f Christ? Will truble, r distress, r persecutin, r famine, r nakedness, r danger, r swrd? (Rm 8:37 [NET]) N, in all these things we have cmplete victry thrugh him wh lved us! (Rm 8:39 [NET]) nr height, nr depth, nr anything else in creatin will be able t separate us frm the lve f Gd in Christ Jesus ur Lrd. 1 Jhn 3:16 [NET] We have cme t knw lve by this: that Jesus laid dwn his life fr us; thus we ught t lay dwn ur lives fr ur fellw Christians. 1 Jhn 4:9-10, 19 [NET] (1Jhn 4:9 [NET]) By this the lve f Gd is revealed in us: that Gd has sent his ne and nly Sn int the wrld s that we may live thrugh him. (1Jhn 4:10 [NET]) In this is lve: nt that we have lved Gd, but that he lved us and sent his Sn t be the atning sacrifice fr ur sins. (1Jhn 4:19 [NET]) We lve because he lved us first. 1 Jhn 4:16 [NET] And we have cme t knw and t believe the lve that Gd has in us. Gd is lve, and the ne wh resides in lve resides in Gd, and Gd resides in him. Matt 6:24 [NET] N ne can serve tw masters, fr either he will hate the ne and lve the ther, r he will be devted t the ne and despise the ther. Yu cannt serve Gd and mney. Deut. 6: 10-15 NET Then when the LORD yur Gd brings yu t the land he prmised yur ancestrs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacb t give yu a land with large, fine cities yu did nt build, huses filled with

chice things yu did nt accumulate, hewn ut cisterns yu did nt dig, and vineyards and live grves yu did nt plant and yu eat yur fill, be careful nt t frget the LORD wh brught yu ut f Egypt, that place f slavery. Yu must revere the LORD yur Gd, serve him, and take aths using nly his name. Yu must nt g after ther gds, thse f the surrunding peples, fr the LORD yur Gd, wh is present amng yu, is a jealus Gd and his anger will erupt against yu and remve yu frm the land. Matt 6:31-33 [NET] S then, dn t wrry saying, What will we eat? r What will we drink? r What will we wear? Fr the uncnverted pursue these things, and yur heavenly Father knws that yu need them. But abve all pursue his kingdm and righteusness, and all these things will be given t yu as well. Phil 3:4-14 [NET] thugh mine t are significant. If smene thinks he has gd reasns t put cnfidence in human credentials, I have mre: I was circumcised n the eighth day, frm the peple f Israel and the tribe f Benjamin, a Hebrew f Hebrews. I lived accrding t the law as a Pharisee. In my zeal fr Gd I persecuted the church. Accrding t the righteusness stipulated in the law I was blameless. But these assets I have cme t regard as liabilities because f Christ. Mre than that, I nw regard all things as liabilities cmpared t the far greater value f knwing Christ Jesus my Lrd, fr whm I have suffered the lss f all things indeed, I regard them as dung! that I may gain Christ, and be fund in him, nt because I have my wn righteusness derived frm the law, but because I have the righteusness that cmes by way f Christ s faithfulness a righteusness frm Gd that is in fact based n Christ s faithfulness. My aim is t knw him, t experience the pwer f his resurrectin, t share in his sufferings, and t be like him in his death, and s, smehw, t attain t the resurrectin frm the dead. Nt that I have already attained this that is, I have nt already been perfected but I strive t lay hld f that fr which Christ Jesus als laid hld f me. Brthers and sisters, I d nt cnsider myself t have attained this. Instead I am single-minded: Frgetting the things that are behind and reaching ut fr the things that are ahead, with this gal in mind, I strive tward the prize f the upward call f Gd in Christ Jesus. Matt 6:19-21, 33 [NET] D nt accumulate fr yurselves treasures n earth, where mth and rust destry and where thieves break in and steal. But accumulate fr yurselves treasures in heaven, where mth and rust d nt destry, and thieves d nt break in and steal. Fr where yur treasure is, there yur heart will be als. (Matt 6:33 [NET]) But abve all pursue his kingdm and righteusness, and all these things will be given t yu as well. Gen 3:9 [NET] But the LORD Gd called t the man and said t him, Where are yu? [Gd knew smething had happened t the lve relatinship] Jer. 7:13 [NET]

Yu als have dne all these things, says the LORD, and I have spken t yu ver and ver again. But yu have nt listened! Yu have refused t respnd when I called yu t repent! 2 Cr. 5:14 [NET] Fr the lve f Christ cntrls us, since we have cncluded this, that Christ died fr all; therefre all have died. Rm 3:10-12 [NET] Rm 3:10 [NET] just as it is written: There is n ne righteus, nt even ne, Rm 3:11 [NET] there is n ne wh understands, there is n ne wh seeks Gd. Rm 3:12 [NET] All have turned away, tgether they have becme wrthless; there is n ne wh shws kindness, nt even ne. Jhn 6:44-45,65 [NET] (Jhn 6:44 [NET]) N ne can cme t me unless the Father wh sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. (Jhn 6:45 [NET]) It is written in the prphets, And they will all be taught by Gd. Everyne wh hears and learns frm the Father cmes t me. (Jhn 6:65 [NET]) S Jesus added, Because f this I tld yu that n ne can cme t me unless the Father has allwed him t cme. Acts 9:1-19 [NET] Meanwhile Saul, still breathing ut threats t murder the Lrd s disciples, went t the high priest and requested letters frm him t the synaggues in Damascus, s that if he fund any wh belnged t the Way, either men r wmen, he culd bring them as prisners t Jerusalem. As he was ging alng, appraching Damascus, suddenly a light frm heaven flashed arund him. He fell t the grund and heard a vice saying t him, Saul, Saul, why are yu persecuting me? S he said, Wh are yu, Lrd? He replied, I am Jesus whm yu are persecuting! But stand up and enter the city and yu will be tld what yu must d. (Nw the men wh were traveling with him std there speechless, because they heard the vice but saw n ne.) S Saul gt up frm the grund, but althugh his eyes were pen, he culd see nthing. Leading him by the hand, his cmpanins brught him int Damascus. Fr three days he culd nt see, and he neither ate nr drank anything. Nw there was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias. The Lrd said t him in a visin, Ananias, and he replied, Here I am, Lrd. Then the Lrd tld him, Get up and g t the street called Straight, and at Judas

huse lk fr a man frm Tarsus named Saul. Fr he is praying, and he has seen in a visin a man named Ananias cme in and place his hands n him s that he may see again. But Ananias replied, Lrd, I have heard frm many peple abut this man, hw much harm he has dne t yur saints in Jerusalem, and here he has authrity frm the chief priests t imprisn all wh call n yur name! But the Lrd said t him, G, because this man is my chsen instrument t carry my name befre Gentiles and kings and the peple f Israel. Fr I will shw him hw much he must suffer fr the sake f my name. S Ananias departed and entered the huse, placed his hands n Saul and said, Brther Saul, the Lrd Jesus, wh appeared t yu n the rad as yu came here, has sent me s that yu may see again and be filled with the Hly Spirit. Immediately smething like scales fell frm his eyes, and he culd see again. He gt up and was baptized, and after taking sme fd, his strength returned. Fr several days he was with the disciples in Damascus, Rm 8:29-30 [NET] because thse whm he freknew he als predestined t be cnfrmed t the image f his Sn, that his Sn wuld be the firstbrn amng many brthers and sisters. And thse he predestined, he als called; and thse he called, he als justified; and thse he justified, he als glrified. Jhn 15:16 [NET] Yu did nt chse me, but I chse yu and appinted yu t g and bear fruit, fruit that remains, s that whatever yu ask the Father in my name he will give yu. Jhn 15:19 [NET] If yu belnged t the wrld, the wrld wuld lve yu as its wn. Hwever, because yu d nt belng t the wrld, but I chse yu ut f the wrld, fr this reasn the wrld hates yu. Matt. 16:13-17 [NET] When Jesus came t the area f Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, Wh d peple say that the Sn f Man is? They answered, Sme say Jhn the Baptist, thers Elijah, and thers Jeremiah r ne f the prphets. He said t them, But wh d yu say that I am? Simn Peter answered, Yu are the Christ, the Sn f the living Gd. And Jesus answered him, Yu are blessed, Simn sn f Jnah, because flesh and bld did nt reveal this t yu, but my Father in heaven! Deut 30:6 [NET] The LORD yur Gd will als cleanse yur heart and the hearts f yur descendants s that yu may lve him with all yur mind and being and s that yu may live. Luke 10:22 [NET] All things have been given t me by my Father. N ne knws wh the Sn is except the Father, r wh the Father is except the Sn and anyne t whm the Sn decides t reveal him. Jhn 15:16 [NET] Yu did nt chse me, but I chse yu and appinted yu t g and bear fruit, fruit that remains, s that whatever yu ask the Father in my name he will give yu. Phil 2:13 [NET]

fr the ne bringing frth in yu bth the desire and the effrt fr the sake f his gd pleasure is Gd. 1 Jhn 3:16 [NET] We have cme t knw lve by this: that Jesus laid dwn his life fr us; thus we ught t lay dwn ur lives fr ur fellw Christians. Rev 3:20 [NET] Listen! I am standing at the dr and kncking! If anyne hears my vice and pens the dr I will cme int his hme and share a meal with him, and he with me. Gen 3:20-21 [NET] The man named his wife Eve, because she was the mther f all the living. The LORD Gd made garments frm skin fr Adam and his wife, and clthed them. Gen 16:1-13 [NET] Nw Sarai, Abram s wife, had nt given birth t any children, but she had an Egyptian servant named Hagar. S Sarai said t Abram, Since the LORD has prevented me frm having children, have sexual relatins with my servant. Perhaps I can have a family by her. Abram did what Sarai tld him. S after Abram had lived in Canaan fr ten years, Sarai, Abram s wife, gave Hagar, her Egyptian servant, t her husband t be his wife. He had sexual relatins with Hagar, and she became pregnant. Once Hagar realized she was pregnant, she despised Sarai. Then Sarai said t Abram, Yu have brught this wrng n me! I allwed my servant t have sexual relatins with yu, but when she realized that she was pregnant, she despised me. May the LORD judge between yu and me! Abram said t Sarai, Since yur servant is under yur authrity, d t her whatever yu think best. Then Sarai treated Hagar harshly, s she ran away frm Sarai. The LORD s angel fund Hagar near a spring f water in the desert the spring that is alng the rad t Shur. He said, Hagar, servant f Sarai, where have yu cme frm, and where are yu ging? She replied, I m running away frm my mistress, Sarai. Then the LORD s angel said t her, Return t yur mistress and submit t her authrity. I will greatly multiply yur descendants, the LORD s angel added, s that they will be t numerus t cunt. Then the LORD s angel said t her, Yu are nw pregnant and are abut t give birth t a sn. Yu are t name him Ishmael, fr the LORD has heard yur painful grans. He will be a wild dnkey f a man. He will be hstile t everyne, and everyne will be hstile t him. He will live away frm his brthers. S Hagar named the LORD wh spke t her, Yu are the Gd wh sees me, fr she said, Here I have seen ne wh sees me! 1Kgs 3:5-13 [NET] One night in Giben the LORD appeared t Slmn in a dream. Gd said, Tell me what I shuld give yu. Slmn replied, Yu demnstrated great lyalty t yur servant, my father David, as he served yu faithfully, prperly, and sincerely. Yu have maintained this great lyalty t this day by allwing his sn t sit n his thrne. Nw, O LORD my Gd, yu have made yur servant king in my father David s place, even thugh I am nly a yung man and am inexperienced. Yur servant stands amng yur chsen peple; they are a great natin that is t numerus t cunt r number. S give yur servant a discerning mind s he can make judicial decisins fr yur peple and distinguish right frm wrng. Otherwise n ne is able t make judicial decisins fr this great natin f yurs. The Lrd was pleased that Slmn made this request. Gd said t him, Because yu asked fr the ability t make wise

judicial decisins, and nt fr lng life, r riches, r vengeance n yur enemies, I grant yur request, and give yu a wise and discerning mind superir t that f anyne wh has preceded r will succeed yu. Furthermre, I am giving yu what yu did nt request riches and hnr s that yu will be the greatest king f yur generatin. 1Kgs 4:29-30 [NET] Gd gave Slmn wisdm and very great discernment; the breadth f his understanding was as infinite as the sand n the seashre. Slmn was wiser than all the men f the east and all the sages f Egypt. Mark 6:7-13 [NET] Jesus called the twelve and began t send them ut tw by tw. He gave them authrity ver the unclean spirits. He instructed them t take nthing fr the jurney except a staff n bread, n bag, n mney in their belts and t put n sandals but nt t wear tw tunics. He said t them, Wherever yu enter a huse, stay there until yu leave the area. If a place will nt welcme yu r listen t yu, as yu g ut frm there, shake the dust ff yur feet as a testimny against them. S they went ut and preached that all shuld repent. They cast ut many demns and aninted many sick peple with il and healed them. Acts 12:1-17 [NET] Abut that time King Herd laid hands n sme frm the church t harm them. He had James, the brther f Jhn, executed with a swrd. When he saw that this pleased the Jews, he prceeded t arrest Peter t. (This tk place during the feast f Unleavened Bread.) When he had seized him, he put him in prisn, handing him ver t fur squads f sldiers t guard him. Herd planned t bring him ut fr public trial after the Passver. S Peter was kept in prisn, but thse in the church were earnestly praying t Gd fr him. On that very night befre Herd was ging t bring him ut fr trial, Peter was sleeping between tw sldiers, bund with tw chains, while guards in frnt f the dr were keeping watch ver the prisn. Suddenly an angel f the Lrd appeared, and a light shne in the prisn cell. He struck Peter n the side and wke him up, saying, Get up quickly! And the chains fell ff Peter s wrists. The angel said t him, Fasten yur belt and put n yur sandals. Peter did s. Then the angel said t him, Put n yur clak and fllw me. Peter went ut and fllwed him; he did nt realize that what was happening thrugh the angel was real, but thught he was seeing a visin. After they had passed the first and secnd guards, they came t the irn gate leading int the city. It pened fr them by itself, and they went utside and walked dwn ne narrw street, when at nce the angel left him. When Peter came t himself, he said, Nw I knw fr certain that the Lrd has sent his angel and rescued me frm the hand f Herd and frm everything the Jewish peple were expecting t happen. When Peter realized this, he went t the huse f Mary, the mther f Jhn Mark, where many peple had gathered tgether and were praying. When he kncked at the dr f the uter gate, a slave girl named Rhda answered. When she recgnized Peter s vice, she was s verjyed she did nt pen the gate, but ran back in and tld them that Peter was standing at the gate. But they said t her, Yu ve lst yur mind! But she kept insisting that it was Peter, and they kept saying, It is his angel! Nw Peter cntinued kncking, and when they pened the dr and saw him, they were greatly astnished. He mtined t them with his hand t be quiet and then related hw the Lrd had brught him ut f the prisn. He said, Tell James and the brthers these things, and then he left and went t anther place. Rev 1:1 [NET]

The revelatin f Jesus Christ, which Gd gave him t shw his servants what must happen very sn. He made it clear by sending his angel t his servant Jhn, Rev 1:9-20 [NET] I, Jhn, yur brther and the ne wh shares with yu in the persecutin, kingdm, and endurance that are in Jesus, was n the island called Patms because f the wrd f Gd and the testimny abut Jesus. I was in the Spirit n the Lrd s Day when I heard behind me a lud vice like a trumpet, saying: Write in a bk what yu see and send it t the seven churches t Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Ladicea. I turned t see whse vice was speaking t me, and when I did s, I saw seven glden lampstands, and in the midst f the lampstands was ne like a sn f man. He was dressed in a rbe extending dwn t his feet and he wre a wide glden belt arund his chest. His head and hair were as white as wl, even as white as snw, and his eyes were like a fiery flame. His feet were like plished brnze refined in a furnace, and his vice was like the rar f many waters. He held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp duble-edged swrd extended ut f his muth. His face shne like the sun shining at full strength. When I saw him I fell dwn at his feet as thugh I were dead, but he placed his right hand n me and said: D nt be afraid! I am the first and the last, and the ne wh lives! I was dead, but lk, nw I am alive frever and ever and I hld the keys f death and f Hades! Therefre write what yu saw, what is, and what will be after these things. The mystery f the seven stars that yu saw in my right hand and the seven glden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels f the seven churches and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.
