Church Planter Application Thank you for your interest in planting churches in the Wisconsin Northern Michigan District of the Assemblies of God. The information you give on this application will only be shared with those who are vitally connected with our efforts to plant new churches in our district. These will include our district officials, church planting committee and your future church planting coach. This information will help us discern God s will in choosing pastors who will best represent God s kingdom and our movement in needy cities and towns. The next steps in our process include: 1. Contacting your references and getting background and credit checks. 2. A phone or face-to-face interview with at least two members of our Church Planting Task Force. 3. Helping you transfer your credentials to our district (if needed), or help you receive credentials from our district. 4. Sending you and your spouse to a five hour church planting assessment or 3 day assessment center (preferred). 5. Bringing you in to meet with the church planting committee to get to know you better and ultimately determine if we can work together. 6. If you are approved, we will send you and your spouse to 4 days of training at Church Planting Boot Camp. 7. You will be submitting a budget for the first year of your church planting experience. We hope to be helpful financially however you will still need to itinerate, send letters to friends and family and seek God earnestly to raise the necessary funds for the new church. One way we know God has indeed called you to plant a particular church is by making the funds available for that work. 8. Final approval comes from the presbytery. Once approved by them you begin to work! You will be assigned a coach who will meet with you monthly to be sure you stay on track. Please fill out this form as accurately as possible.
