PHONE: (972) 562-2601 Brent Goodwin Robertson March 24, 1962 - May 18, 2017 Brent Goodwin Robertson, age 55, of McKinney Texas passed from this earth to eternal life with his precious Lord on May 18, 2017. He was born on March 24, 1962 in Memphis Tennessee and was the only son of the late Ruedell Willis Robertson and Minnie Goodwin Robertson. Brent was also predeceased by his adoptive mother Mary Robertson. In 1988, he fell in love and married Lisa Cagle Robertson. They had two children. Brent graduated from Ridgeway High School, attended Memphis State University, and received his Masters of Electrical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He moved to Dallas and started his career with E-Systems/Raytheon. Brent has also worked at Informatics and Texas Advanced Optoelectric Solutions and concluded his career at WatchGuard Video, where he was Director of Software Engineering. He has been awarded 3 patents throughout his career. Brent became a Christian at an early age and has faithfully followed his Lord Jesus Christ. During his lifetime, he was an active member of Prestonwood, Hunter s Glen Baptist and The Heights. He served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, choir member and Bible Drill leader. Brent was also involved in several mission trips, Bible Study Fellowship, and was a Precept Bible Study leader. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Lisa, his daughter Katherine Fink and her husband Tyler Fink of Raleigh, North Carolina; and son, Luke Robertson of Carrollton, Texas. Visitation will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas on Sunday, May 21, from 4:00-6:00pm. I had the good fortune to work with Brent at E-Systems. He was every manager's dream. Give him something to do, and it happened. No whining, no problems. In fact, harldy a word unless he had a question. His work was outstanding. Period. He is among the best people I have ever worked with. Uplifiting and encouraging, without criticism, he was your evangelical best friend. I am sure he lifted me up in prayer more than once. The world is a lesser place without him. He's one of the best. I was fortunate enough to be one of those friends and always considered Brent one of my best guy friends! I know he went on to become a great dad and husband because that is just who Brent was! I met Brent & Lisa at Hunters' Glen Baptist Church where our boys grew up in preschool, choir, and Royal Ambassadors. Brent was always a wonderful and Godly man and set such a terrific example for our group of boys whether it was at church or outside of church on the baseball field. His love for Lisa and his children, Katie and Luke, was always evident. His love for others was always evident. His love for His Lord was always evident. Brent will be very missed in many, many lives.
