Name of Committee: Latino/Hispanic Community Representative: November 25, 2014 Christ the King Charismatic group: Regular prayer meeting on Saturdays at 7:00pm in the basement of the parish. The group had a healing retreat the first weekend of October with a lot of success. More than 300 participants from our parish and other parishes attended. Liturgy & Communion Ministry: Regular weekly services. Spanish choirs: Regular weekly services. Hospitality group: Regular meetings every other week to enrich their faith and coordinate service at Masses. Catechesis: PSR and RCIA classes are going well. Missionaries of The Word Sister: The sisters continue providing Bible Studies on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays at 5:30 p.m.; Saturdays at 4:00pm. Follow up meetings with the missionaries of the word, Mondays and Thursdays at the Convent are an ongoing activity. The sisters along with Father Schalk and Saul are going to start marriage preparation for those couples participating at the Community Weddings next year. The sisters continue conducting weekly meetings with the CERS to reflecting more in depth on their missionary work. They, as well, continue with the pre -baptismal classes each month. Charismatic group: The group is organizing the Parish Thanksgiving dinner to be held on November 29 in the basement of the church. The group will be leading one of the "Posadas" before Christmas, in the basement of the church. Liturgy & Communion Ministry: N o t h i n g t o r e p o r t Spanish choirs: New members have joined Spanish Christ the King Choir. No new activities to report Missionaries of The Word Sister: The sisters will present the Guadalupe play on December as part of the Virgin of Guadalupe festivity. The sisters will continue with the intense Bible studies on Sundays at the convent. These studies are for those parishioners who haven't had the opportunity to take the Bible study at another time. They also continue working with the young adults and children groups on Saturdays and Sundays respectively. The sisters are going to be leading the yearly "posadas" activities as a tradition for Christmas time. Catechesis: Guadalupe Novena: Starts on December 3 to December 12 Christmas Posadas: From December 17 to December 23. Guadalupe Procession: December 14 before 12:30 pm Mass. - 1 -

Christ the King Name of Committee: Bread Representative: Saul Buitron November 25, 2014 Bread had its Annual Assembly on November 10 at Christ the King Church at 7:00 p.m. More than 500 people gathered here to vote on the new issue. After voting, crime and violence was chosen to be tackled this year. The parish Justice Ministry team is trying to bring more members. Actually there are three people interested on being part of the Justice Ministry. Once the New Year starts, there will be a Justice Ministry meeting to plan the strategy and goals for the upcoming activities, like the rally and the Annual Nehemiah Action. - 8 -

Christ the King Name of Committee: HASSA Representative: Maryann Tilley November 25, 2014 HASSA had two fundraisers going on. One was a Community Coupon Book and an All Saints Night at Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant in Town and Country. Both events had low participation. Still pushing to raise participation in Market Day. Christ the King Name of Committee: Athletics Representative: Tim Foley November 25, 2014 The 11/19/14 meeting was postponed till 11/25. Results will be reported at our January meeting. I did learn from Kathee Cardwell, the ASA Athletic Board Fundraiser person, current results regarding the Yankee Candle event. ASA students ran this program for two weeks and raised a total of $2378. ASA receives 40% of that ($951.20). Online orders from CK Church members have purchases $406 worth of merchandise, or $162.40. Good news is the online sales part is continuing till the end of the year. So if you need to buy Christmas presents...?! I have scheduled more reminders in the CK Bulletin between now and Christmas. - 14 -
