Perception of a False Identity (As man thinketh in his heart so is he) Wouldn't it be a strange world, if when we looked into the mirror our reflection didn't respond to what we were actually doing. For example, suppose we were stood in front of the mirror and scratched our nose, but our reflection instead didn't move. Or we stood still and our reflection in the mirror was madly waving its arms about. How 'freeky' and scary would that be? Would we be cross, or annoyed. We may ask of our reflection. "Why do you not do my will? Why are you choosing to do your own thing?" Lets assume that in this mysterious situation, the reflection has no awareness of our self stood in front of the mirror, and only had an awareness of itself, thinking and believing that it was an entity in and of its self and was just doing what it was doing. Just ponder this situation and maybe it is not so strange as it may seem. Suppose the self we have believed ourselves to be all these years is like that reflection and we are only aware of this self, but have no conscious awareness of what is causing 'us' (the reflection, image, form, symbol) to exist, or who or what our existence truly is. Are we Substance, Reality? or are we relative to the substance. Are we forms, images, symbols? Who are we? Jesus knew who he was do we? And You shall know the Truth and te Truth WILL make you free. John 8:32. What does the Truth set us free from? The same thing that Truth always frees from; a lie. As Light dispels darkness, so Truth dispels a lie. We must ask ourselves, what is the lie that I am believing, that Truth will free me from? You don't have to try to be rid of the lie, that you may gain the Truth. When the Truth is accepted the lie automatically disappears. But first we have to seek the Truth. Seek and ye shall find. Seek ye first the Kingdom of

Heaven, (the Real and the True), and the 'things (we think we need), shall be added. Or better still, we will realise we 'need' nothing. We see in the above picture several pawns reflected 'inside' the mirror but just one king stood before the mirror. How can this be? Surely this is not reality, for we should be seeing a king reflected, for a mirror can only reflect that which is stood before it can't it? Let us imagine we have climbed inside the mirror and that we are able to converse with all the pawns inside this mirror world. The first thing that would become apparent to us as we speak with the pawns is that they themselves have no awareness whatsoever that the realm they are in is a reflected one. It is the only reality they would know and they have no perception whatsoever, that there is a realm outside of the mirror. They are completely blinded to the real that exists outside the mirror. They cannot see beyond the mirror because, for them the mirror realm is all that exists. We could say that the realm outside the mirror is the True realm whilst the world of those reflected in the mirror is only a relative world and not the 'actual' true realm. But we may still ask, "why are there pawns reflected in the mirror and not the king of the real true realm"? We know what the pawns see and think of each other, that they all see themselves as separate and individual personalities but what does the king before the mirror see? Does he see pawns? Does he see separation and chaos? No he sees the truth, he sees himself reflected there, and sees only Himself as the pawns, for he is the sole one stood before the mirror. The sole and only Self, and un-be known to the pawns they have no awareness of their Oneness with each other, let alone their Oneness with the King.

From this analogy we have a beautiful example of the One True God and all that he expresses himself through, in the mirror existence, (our world of appearances). It is not too difficult to compare the mirror realm and the true realm beyond the mirror from the realm of the material, matter world that we find ourselves in (the reflected place of the mirror) and the True realm of Spirit (before the mirror), the realm Jesus called 'The Kingdom of Heaven, which he, said, was not only within us, but all about us. This is so. The real realm is all about, around the mirror and at hand, whether those in the mirror are aware of it or not. If they are not aware of the true realm, this doesn't mean the true realm doesn't exist, it simply means they are in darkness to the facts. Their senses tell them that the realm they exist in is in fact the true and only realm, when all the time this realm is only relative and not The Real. For God is All and God is Spirit, so All is Spirit, and Spirit is the Only Real, and this cannot be divided up, for all is the One. Like when we watch a movie at the cinema, we know the real truth of the movie is in the projector and not on the screen The screen is only reflecting the film in the projector. What is your consciousness (projector), reflecting, and showing you on the screen (your world)? We know that when we stand in front of a mirror we see ourselves in the mirror. It is us we see and not somebody else reflected there. It is also true to note that the image in the mirror owes it's existence to us only, because we stand before the mirror. We could say that we and the reflected image are One and the same. The moment we walk away from the mirror, the reflected image of our self, ceases to exist. This is why, when somebody supposedly dies in this world, and we say they have gone, what is really happening is that their Real, True Self (Spirit) has moved away from the mirror. Returned to itself, and the image has ceased to be. For let's face it, we do not concern ourselves or unduly worry about what happens to our reflection when we move away from the mirror. Do we wonder if it is still there without us? Of course not. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Mat 10:39, Mat 16:25, Mar 8:35, Luk 9:24. It would seem this scripture is pretty important as it is quoted in the New Testament so many times.

Are we doing it? Are we losing our life? Or perhaps it would be more accurate to ask, "are we losing our perception (reflection), of our self (life)? Are we losing the life we perceive ourselves to be? Can we do it? First we would have to find out who our True Self is, then we could ignore the false assumed self, that we have mistakenly known ourselves to be all these years. The question is, who have we perceived ourselves to be? We easily accept Jesus Christ as the Way the Truth and the Life, but we see ourselves certainly different from this. We would believe we are NOT the Truth, the Way nor the Life; Yet we are told as He is in the world so are we. He said, "keep my sayings", what were His sayings if not - " I AM the WAY, I AM the Truth I AM the LIFE, I and my Father are One, If you have seen me you have seen the Father" Are these not his sayings? He said them all the time. But we would believe ourselves to be matter, human, with a human body and human mind and that body and mind is us. But, is it? Could our body and mind be more akin to the image in the mirror? Do we see ourselves as the pawn, rather than the King, The Truth. The Way, The Life. Jesus also told us to call no man father as we have only one Father and that is our Father who is in Heaven, and He is Spirit. Therefore we must be Spirit if He is our Father, God is not Father to matter, but Spirit. For we know flesh and spirit are not compatible. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven, etc etc. Let this mind (concsiousness), be in you that was in Christ Jesus. What mindset did He have? What was the mind that was in him? We know; for he said if you have seen me you have seen the Father. The Father and I are One. To be One with something is to be it. When he asked the disciples who men say he is, Peter answered, "You are the Christ". Peter might just as easily said, "You are God", for Christ IS God, for the Son and the Father are One. Jesus answered him, by saying, "flesh and blood hasn't revealed this to you". In other words no man has taught you this truth, in fact you can only SEE this truth by revelation of the Holy Spirit. "You have received this truth directly from my Father, and upon this revelation I shall build my church". What revelation? Nothing more nor less than the revelation of man's divinity. Peter saw this for Jesus it would seem, but not it would seem for himself. Yet surely Jesus is not building his church on the revelation that Jesus alone is Christ, but rather that man IS Christ also. For Jesus Christ is a corporate Christ, not a single individual who lived some two thousand years ago. There is only ONE Christ but this Christ appears in many forms. Much like the rays from the sun express and are the sun. Or the waves of the ocean are the ocean. I like to speak of the three R's. Revelation - Recognition - Realisation. It would seem, we get a Revelation from the Spirit. Firstly we Recognise the possibility of the revelation and by faith we hold to our Revelation, until the day comes when the Revelation is Realised. By realised I mean, realised in the same way a man may invest $1000 in the stock market, and when the time is right he sells his shares and realises his profit. He brings in to manifestation that which he has invested in, from his initial insight to invest the $1000. Lets' take the story of Mary (Jesus' mother) and the virgin birth. According to the account, Mary gets visited by an angel who informs her that she is going to have a child. Like nearly always, when the Spirit reveals something to us, our reaction is not unlike Mary's reaction. "What?", she asks, "How can this be". I've never been with a man, "this is not possible"., she exclaims. So sometimes when the Spirit reveals something to us, we start off with, "but how can this be"? But we have heard what we have heard, and we know that we have heard it, even though the

revelation may seem impossible or alien to us. So it was with Mary. She received the Revelation, (the first 'R') and after her initial shock starts to wane, we are told she started to ponder on what had been told her. So there's nothing wrong with thinking things through, to try and grasp the content of the revelation. Mary does grasp the import and starts to Realise; (the second 'R') what she has heard. We then read that she magnified the Lord within her, (Faith in action). Her faith is rewarded nine months later when out pops the baby. She has now Realised (third 'R'), the manifested outcome of her original Revelation. I have explained what I mean by 'Realisation' above. So for us to fully come to a manifested realisation, that we are the King and not a pawn (though we have always been led to believe we are pawns - human mortals, since we were children), we have to do what Mary did. We firstly MUST have the revelation from the Spirit and not man,(though of course the revelation may come via a man's voice, a book, a video etc, but we know when the Spirit reveals something to us, for "My sheep hear my voice". ). We then must recognise the import of what the Spirit is revealing to us, and then again, like Mary we put 'faith' in to action and magnify the revelation we have received, by taking no thought, and judging not by appearances, but by holding fast to that which was revealed to us, and eventually the Realisation must come to us and then the Revelation becomes an inner knowing, that no one can take from us. So let's ponder. Let's look at the mirror (consciousness). Let's question are we what is being reflected or are we the Reflector? Are we a pawn or are we the king? Are we the One and Only Self of the Universe or are we separate and an independent self living our own personal existence? Who are we? Jesus knows who he is. Do We? At the time he said who he was. He tried to show us that our relationship with the Father is the same as his, that's why he said, "My Father and your Father - and call no man on earth your father only your Father who is in Heaven. The old saying questions, "are you a man or a mouse". My question is, "Are you a pawn or The King"?
