Join us at the Sherk Complex and remember to bring your skates and helmets. This event is for people of all ages, so invite your friends! This Week... Good Friday, March 30 10 am, Join us for worship on Good Friday as we celebrate Communion. Pastor Alicia will bring the message. Easter Sunday, April 1 7 am, Easter Sunrise Service. All are invited. This short service will take place at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery beginning at 7 am. Look for the lit lantern! Community Meal, Wednesday, March 28, at St. John s Anglican Church, Leamington. Preparation begins at 1 pm, serving begins at 4 pm and we finish at approximately 6 pm. We are looking for volunteers for the day to prepare and serve the meal. Please contact Tammy Warkentin if you are able to help. Medicine Bundle Learning Tour. NLUMC will be sending a group to Timmins, Ontario to participate in a program hosted by MCC Ontario s Indigenous Neighbours Program. We will be meeting local Elders, learning about traditional medicines and building a raised bed garden in the community. This trip is open to people ages 14 and older. Please contact Pastor Alicia to register. The estimated cost is $425 all inclusive, per person. Travel dates are July 16-20, 2018. Please register by April 1. Sunday, April 15. Everyone is invited to celebrate Pastor Jim's last Sunday here at NLUMC with a special worship service. We will have a choir led by Mary Krueger for this event. Rehearsals are Sunday April 8 & 15 at 9 am. Contact Mary Krueger if you have questions. We will have a fellowship meal where we will enjoy Colasanti's chicken and buns; please bring a salad or dessert to share with others. 2

NLUMC is hosting the WMCEC Spring Enrichment weekend, Friday evening April 20, and Saturday April 21. Respected Mennonite pastor and author April Yamasaki will be leading a retreat-style weekend called "Living Creatively: Making space to meet God and find inspiration for creative living." Women from Mennonite churches across MCEC are invited to attend this special weekend. Registration for Leamington women is $40. Contact Pastor Alicia to register. On Sunday, April 22, Pastor April will lead our Adult Education time and share a message with our church during worship. Billets for four women are needed for April 20-21 as NLUMC hosts the Spring Enrichment weekend for Women of MCEC. Please contact Pastor Alicia if you are able to offer billets. Missions Committee News. Fundraiser for Ukrainian Mennonite Church: Feed the Animals. The Ukrainian Mennonite Church needs a Weed Wacker they use it to mow their lawn because it is cheaper to hire someone than pay for a real lawn mower. In the church foyer, place your coins in the dog s bowls, or coax the panda out of his hiding! We currently have $310 with a goal of $500 before spring! Shipwrecked Vacation Bible School will be hosted at LUMC from July 9-13. This is a new location for our annual VBS. We are looking for volunteers for DVBS. Meat Canner Leamington, April 30 May 3. Five weeks until canning! We are canning at Southwestern Ontario Gleaners located at 40 Industrial Road in Leamington. Please pray for the canning project as preparations continue. If you know of a room that Chaya could rent in a safe, friendly home, please contact Harrow Mennonite Church. Volunteering at Silver Lake Mennonite Camp, Sauble Beach. Each week of the summer, Silver Lake uses volunteers to help staff with preparing meals and/or keeping the property and facilities in top notch condition.
