Jesus said to make disciples, so that s what we are here to do. In fact, everything we do in every ministry and for every age group is focused on helping others follow Jesus. If that s a mission you believe in, we d love for you to join us in worshipping Him, learning His ways and spreading His Word. Today you re a guest with us. Year End Giving The Greatest Gift Sunday, December 18, 5 pm, FREE INDOOR PERFORMANCE Bring the whole family to experience the story of our Savior s birth with costumed actors, live animals, Christmas carols and more. For those who want to make end-of-year contributions to Asbury to be included in your 2016 tax statement, here are your opportunities: The church office will be open Friday, December 30, until 5 pm, for those who would like to personally deliver contributions. The south entrance of the church will be open Saturday, December 31, 10 am-3 pm to place a contribution in the drop box. If you wish to mail contributions to the church, they must be postmarked by December 31, or you can give online through myasburytulsa.org until 10 pm December 31. Please contact the finance office at 918.392.1136 if you have questions. 2nd Saturday: Saturday, December 10, Meet at the Venue at 8:15 am Christmas parties will be at Palmer House, Walt Whitman Elementary and Grove Elementary. Come join us as we have fun with some of the Adopt a Christmas Child recipients. Meet at the Venue at 8:15 am, December 10, and you ll be back by noon. Other serving opportunities too, for all ages and skill levels. Bring friends and family.

Donations for Holiday Outreach: To participate and serve financially as we share the love of Jesus during this holiday season, please make checks payable to Asbury UMC with Local Holiday Outreaches on the memo line. Perceptions Book Sales : Books are being sold this year for $5 per copy TODAY and on December 11 and 18, from 8:30 am until noon at a table on the south side of the main lobby on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteers for Welcome Brunch and Disciple Orientation: We are looking for volunteers to join our 11:00 Welcome Brunch and Disciple Orientation teams. These teams come alongside those who are new to our church or those who ve been around a while but are looking to connect in a new way. If you re interested please contact Robin Brush or stop by the Learn2Serve2 desk. Taught by Josh Coats, Pastor Dick Read & Sarah Pradhan Learn2Core: Prayer Prayer is an essential practice for Jesus followers. The goal of this Learn2 core course is to move you toward an increasingly robust, powerful and effective prayer life that is free of guilt and fear. Taught by Pastor Jim Lenderman, Katelyn Moore & Ryan Proctor 11:00: Learn2Core: Worship Worship is an essential practice of the church, yet some aspects of our services can be puzzling. The goal of this course is to expand your understanding of worship, so you can more fully participate when we gather together.
