UNLEAVENED BREAD, PART 2 FEAST ON THE BREAD OF LIFE SABBATH SCHOOL LESSON Say - Welcome to Sabbath School class and welcome to the Days of Unleavened Bread. Let s bow our head and ask God for understanding as we study today. Say - In Part 1 we discussed how needful our world is for the lessons learned from observing the Days of Unleavened Bread. We discussed how God wanted His people to obey His holy perfect laws of love and the benefits which would come from doing so. We discussed how His laws would heal our nation and make us a holy people, Exodus 19:5, 6. Say - We discussed how many times Christ told us to Beware of the leaven/sin... because it is all around us and how He promised us He would never leave us. And most importantly, God told us to Feast on Unleavened Bread, The Bread of Life", which is the teachings of Jesus Christ the ultimate example of all righteousness. Say - During the Days of Unleavened Bread, God said, You shall eat unleavened bread 7 days Exodus 12:15. As for every verse in the Bible the meaning is both physical and spiritual and this instruction is no exception. Say - It is easy to understand the physical part isn t it; rye crisp, lefse and any bread without leavening but what about the spiritual understanding of this verse. How do we Feast on the spiritual Bread of Life, Jesus Christ? Say - God wants us to hunger for Him, His nature, His Truth, His Instructions just as we hunger for physical food. He wants us to be like Him to think like Him and the only way we can accomplish both is to talk with Him and feast on His words He has given us and make His teachings our way of life. When we make Him our constant companion, He reveals His sinless nature to us and we become His holy people and will become a member of the Family of God in His Kingdom. Say - Jesus also said, I will never leave you as orphans (without a Shepherd) and He provided for us, out of His love, the tools or power to overcome sin. That power He gave us is His spirit. It is through His power we have the authority over Satan, the author of all evil.

Say - Let s continue in the remainder of our lesson and use the power He gave us to replace the death of sin with His Words of Life as we feast on Jesus, the Bread of Life! Say - The Bible says, Our iniquities (sins) have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear Isaiah 59:2. But when we use the power of God s spirit and feast on Jesus the Bread of Life", then...those that seek me early shall find me and nothing can separate us from the love of God" Proverbs 8:17, Romans 8:39. Say - The Bible says, sin makes us arrogant and puffed up and we begin to compromise on the teachings of the Word of God. But when we use the power of God s spirit and feast on Jesus, Bread of Life and His teachings, we, Put on mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness and longsuffering and we realize, God resists the proud and gives grace (mercy) to the humble, Romans 12:11, Colossians 3:12. Say - The Bible says, sin distorts our thinking and makes us love evil. But when we use the power of God s holy spirit and feast on Jesus, the Bread of Life, we learn to abhor evil and learn to love truth, righteousness and the goodness of God, thus overcoming evil, Psalms 33:4, 5. Say - The Bible says sin makes us wake up in the morning depressed, crabby and thinking negative thoughts. But when we use the power of the spirit of God and feast on Jesus, the Bread of Life, we will, Think on whatever is honest (not lies, deception, false doctrine) pure (not impure) and lovely, thus winning over negative thoughts, Philippians 4:8. Say - The Bible says, Sin causes our prayers to go unheard or are useless, Isaiah 1:15. But when we use the power of God s spirit and feast on Jesus, the Bread of Life, His eyes are over the righteous, and His ears are open to our prayers... I Peter 3:12. Say - The Bible says, Sin puts us in a spiritual slumber and we become negligent of our calling, Matthew 25:5. But when we use the power of God s spirit and fill our lamps full of oil and feast on Jesus, the Bread of Life, we come out of our slumber and,... rise up out of the darkness of deception, For winter is past, the flowers appear on the earth; it s time to hear the singing of the birds, and we can t help but share the wonders of His creation, Song of Solomon 2:10-12.

Say - The Bible says, Sin puts us in bondage,...the snare of the devil, and are taken captive by him at his will, 2 Timothy 2:26. But when we use the power of God s spirit and feast on Jesus, the Bread of life, we...continue in the law of liberty, not only as a hearer but a doer of the work, and we will be blessed James 1:25 Say - The Bible says, Sin starts to control our emotions and actions and we begin to open our ears to false doctrine and question the truth of God and become a servant of sin, John 8:34. But when we use the power of God s spirit and feast on Jesus, the Bread of Life,...If any man preach any other gospel unto us than what we have received, (he will be) accursed. We ask ourselves,... do I seek to please men? For if I please men, I would not be the servant of Christ. But I certify to you, the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ" Galatians 1:11-12. You see by His spirit dwelling in us, we can discern the Truth of God. Say - The Bible says, Sin dulls our hearing, Matthew 13:15, Mark 4:2. But when we use the power of God s spirit and feast on Jesus, the Bread of Life then, He that is of God hears God s words..., John 8:47 and...everyone that is of the truth hears My voice, John 18:37. Say - The Bible says, Sin makes us covet or become jealous of one another, Micah 2:2. But when we use the power of God s spirit and we feast on Jesus, the Bread of Life, we know, The words of God are pure and as silver tried in a furnace...psalms 12:6. Say - The Bible says, Sin deceives us, Revelation 12:9. But when we use the power of God s spirit and feast on Jesus, the Bread of Life, God will instruct us and teach us in the way we should go and He will guide us with His eyes (meaning it will be as if we are looking through His eyes, eyes of perfection), Psalms 32:8 and because of His spirit in us, there is no room for jealousy. Say - The Bible says, sin causes us to take the Broad way, the acceptable way of the world, the way which leads to death, Matthew 7:13. But when we use the power of God s spirit and feast on Jesus, the Bread of Life, the...bread which came down from heaven, we will live forever, John 6:58 because we will have chosen to follow the Strait and narrow way, Matthew 7:14. Say - You see when we use the power of His spirit dwelling in us, we have

the authority over Satan and sin, the author of ALL evil. When we Feast on Unleavened Bread, The Bread of Life, the very nature of Christ becomes a part of us and that is how we become like Him for He dwells with in us and that is the whole intent of the Days of Unleavened Bread. Say - The nature of Christ is truly the Good News our world and institutions, our friends and families so desperately need and that is why Christ said, Go into all the world and teach the gospel (Good News) unto everyone and I will be with you always even unto the end of the world, Matthew 28:19, 20; Mark 16:15. Say - Take your Unleavened Bread, the Bread of Life and spread it around and make it an unleavened year! MEMORY VERSE GO YOU THEREFORE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT; TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS...AND LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD.
