The Rockingham Northeast Network (RNN) is issuing a challenge to all of the Missional Networks and churches in the Northern Piedmont District. The challenge is for every church in our District to give a "love offering" to the Fire Recovery Fund for Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. Some of our churches have already done so and we are thankful for their lead! The Rockingham Northeast Network reminds us that Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, and ALL of our churches, are OUR church and when one is hurting, all of us hurt. The upfront costs, the wait for insurance and many other factors play into the need of funds now. Mount Carmel United Methodist Church has requested our continued prayers and financial support. We need to help more than Mount Carmel needs the help. Love Offering gifts for the Fire Recovery Fund at Mount Carmel should be made payable to Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, and mailed to: Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 361 Mt. Carmel Church Rd. Reidsville, NC 27320 Join us for a Bible Study! FROM BETHLEHEM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH Pastor s Bible Study: Labor Day Memorial Day, Mondays 11:00 am and 7:00 pm. Pastor s Wesley Study: Labor Day Memorial Day, Thursdays 11:00 am and 7:00 pm FROM STALEY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH Ongoing Bible Study Wednesday mornings at 9 am Join us for a Special Service! JULIAN UMC HOMECOMING! Sunday, May 3, 11:00 Special music by The Directors Trio * Guest Preacher: Rev. Bradley Bruce, Chaplain, US Army Lunch served after the worship service * 2105 NC Hwy 62 E, Julian Join us for PANCAKES & PRAYERS on Sunday, May 3rd At Bethany United Methodist Church, 6151 Bethany Way, Liberty, NC We will be serving breakfast with pancakes and all the fixings between 8-9 and then we will have our regular service with Communion at 9:30. ALL ARE WELCOME 225 YEARS AT SHILOH UMC In 1790, Hannah Julian, her son Jesse and his wife Sarah Fields Julian were newcomers to the area and felt the need to establish some organized worship for themselves as well as their neighbors. This was done out of a strong faith and a deeply religious nature, not as any sort of memorial for the family, and it was open to everyone. On Sunday, May 24, 2015, we will be celebrating the 225th anniversary of their commitment now known as Shiloh United Methodist Church. Our Bishop Larry Goodpaster will speak at the 11:00 a.m. worship and during this time there will also be special singing as well as recognition of Julian Family members who are able to attend. We have invited previous pastors who served Shiloh, so we hope at least some of them will also be in attendance, so that we may recognize them as well. Since it is also Memorial Day, we plan to have an Honor Guard on site for a short ceremony near the cemetery following service. And after that, there will be a covered dish lunch in the Fellowship Hall for everyone to enjoy, allowing plenty of time to visit and catch up with old friends and new ones. We will have a classroom dedicated to historical information and materials which will be open for any who care to browse. Anyone who can join us will be welcome, whether at 11:00 a.m. or later during or after lunch. Fellowship is always good!

More Missional Network Events: CHILDREN'S MUSICAL LUNCHEON - MAY 31ST AT TABERNACLE UMC The Good News Cruise: Spending Time Soaking in the SON!...And that is exactly what we will be doing...soaking in the promises and peace of Christ! Please come join us and don't miss an opportunity to have fun experiencing the children's witness to the world as we learn very powerful messages to strengthen faith and grow in love for our Savior such as: We all celebrate when the weather is good but how do we, as Christians, handle the "storms" of life? We know God's truth that He is always with us, He gives us strength in all things. God has blessed you with things much more powerful than the things we can see and touch to guide us in life. Rather than maps we have His HOLY WORD to help stay on course. Instead of a radio to communicate with those on shore we have PRAYER to communicate with God. Like a radar we have the HOLY SPIRIT to guide us. All proceeds from the lunch donations go to the Christian Life Center. Thank you in advance for your support of our children's music program!
