25th June 2017 2nd Sunday after Trinity The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19 v1 Our vision is to make the love of Jesus clearly visible to one another and to the world around us.

Children We have a play area at the back of the church which is suitable for babies and toddlers before all our youth go through for their separate Youth programme in our Centre this will be announced in the service. All of our youth leaders have attended Safeguarding training and are DBS checked. This ensures your children are able to have fun and learn about Jesus in a safe environment. Please note our safeguarding policy does not allow unaccompanied adults into the Centre whilst the children s programme is in progress, if this is a problem please speak to one of the Stewards who welcomed you at the door. They will be able to help you. Toilets. During the service please use the facilities located to the left inside the front entrance to the church. An opportunity for families to have fun, get messy and discover more about God. Today, Messy Church explores the story of David and Goliath. Next Week s Services 10.30am Morning Worship 6.00pm Evening Communion

Thought for the Week Many are under the impression that a child of God is born full grown; that once a person becomes a convert, instantaneously he/she becomes a mature Christian. Consequently, mature Christian conduct is expected from those who are in reality mere babes in the family of God. Many new Christians have been greatly distressed by their failure to measure up to what they believe they should be as followers of Jesus. They have mistakenly laboured under the impression that once you become a child of God, Christian character and maturity naturally follow. As children of God, we all need to recognize that spiritual growth is both a responsibility and a continuing opportunity; and help younger Christians, those who are babes in Christ, on their journey towards spiritual maturity. Prayer this Week do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Phil. 4v6 The World the tens of thousands of people in Raqqa, Syria, held hostage whilst a battle with IS continues around them. The Country to the families of the 79 people known to have died in the Grenfell Tower block fire and to the many families who have lost their homes and all their possessions. Our Church - For all in our church who are suffering through illness and chronic ailments including: Vanessa B; Allie C; Margaret F; Louise H; Vicky R; Shirley T; Margaret V; Jacky W; Peter W. - For those needing employment, including: Mark P H Prayer meeting We meet together in the church on Tuesdays at 10am to pray, come join us! Prayer chain For urgent prayer please contact Sue Smith on 07939 572913.
