Performance Notes al fine al fine For this setting of Psalm 15, there is meant to be a contrast between the expansive and reverent refrain of the choir/assembly, and the slightly agitated and more rhythmic verses of the cantor. The cello line must be played lightly, with some rubato. The oboe ought to be played lightly but lilting. Light percussion helps the rhythm of the verses, especially finger cymbals and bells which add color. C.C.
