This is food they can take home for the week-end. Items such as: individual bags of chips, cracker, cookies, cheese/peanut butter crackers, snack cakes, cereal bars, juice boxes, plastic fruit cups etc. Items should be ready to eat and require no refrigeration or reheating and should open easily. Thanks for your support of this ministry! A child will have something to eat because of your kindness & generosity! Weather Warning In the event that bad weather may be moving into the area. services or meetings may be canceled for everyone s safety. So prior to trekking out, please call the church, check your email or FACEBOOK to make sure. Your safety is our first concern. A Penny Saved Attention: New Locks Installed on Doors The Vestry has come up with a solution for those in our community seeking shelter from the cold. The front doors of the church will be unlocked BUT locks have been installed on the inside of the doors coming into the Nave. At the end of services, these locks will need to be locked. This will allow those needing shelter the availability of the narthex while protecting our place of worship. Hoping to help save the church some money, Pastor Jones decided to paint the church exterior himself, but all he had on hand was one bucket of paint. So he collected a bunch of empty buckets and some water, which he used to thin the paint enough to cover the building. Then he spent the whole day painting. That night it rained and washed off all the paint. The pastor was so discouraged he prayed and asked God, Why why Lord, did you allow it rain and wash away all my hard work? To which the Lord replied, Repaint and thin no more! Page 2

P.O. Box 768 Madisonville, KY 42431 At Home with God Devotional by Max Lucado If people love me, they will obey my teaching. My father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. John 14:23 God wants to be your dwelling place. He has no interest in being a weekend getaway or a Sunday bungalow or a vacation cottage. Don t consider using God as a vacation cabin or an eventual retirement home. He wants you under his roof now and always. He wants to be your mailing address, your point of reference; he wants to be your home For many this is a new thought. We think of God as a deity to discuss, not a place to dwell. We think of God as a mysterious miracle worker, not a house to live in. We think of God as a creator to call on, not a home to reside in. But our Father wants to be much more. He wants to be the one in whom we love and move and have our being (Acts 17:28). For in him we live and move and have our being. Acts 17:28
