Emmanuel Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. Columbia, South Carolina at God o It! Man s Extremity Is God s Opportunity! 42nd Annual Holy Convocation July 8, 2018 --- July 15, 2018 Genesis 8 KJV And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:7 And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.12 And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.13 And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.14 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.15 And God spake unto Noah, saying,16 Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him:19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.20 And Noah builded an altar unto the Lord; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.21 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

Praise the Lord Saints! Praise the Lord Saints! I thank God for another opportunity he has given us to congregate and experience all that he has prepared for us this Holy Week. The topic that God has given me is Watch God Do It. Man s Extremity is God s Opportunity is the subtopic. Numerous people in the Bible experienced a Watch God Do It moment when God performed glorious and miraculous things for them. For example, when Paul had a thorn in his side he consulted the Lord about it and God said to Paul, my grace is sufficient for thee. There were others that God blessed with Watch God Do It moments. Noah s moment happened when God saved his family and every animal that was in the Ark from drowning in the flood. The paralytic man at the Pool of Bethesda experienced his moment after he was told to pick up his bed and walk. Hezekiah experienced his Watch God Do It moment when his life was extended 15 more years. So I encourage you to read the following scriptures that I believe will keep you inspired and uplifted: Genesis chapter 8:1 9:1; John 5:6-8; II Corinthians 12:7-9 and Isaiah 38:1-9. Now give God your issues and watch Him do it? The Lord is a present help in the time of need. God gave our distinguished and exceptional founder, Bishop Mahlon Pollock, visions for the Emmanuel Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Some have already come to pass. So let us continue to diligently do the work of the Lord until He comes. To God be the Glory, Bishop Roland Morris, Overseer 3

Greetings Greetings, to my Emmanuel family and to our special guests and friends from near and far. Oh how wonderful it is to join in fellowship with our brothers and sisters. I, Pastor Rickie Jackson, am so elated to have each of you as part of our 42 nd Holy Convocation. I welcome you to feel free to be a part of all of our services, facilities, and most of all to the Spirit of God. We have prepared ourselves in our hearts and minds for the move of God to show up and to show out this very week. The atmosphere is full of healings, miracles, breakthroughs, and God filling those with the Holy Ghost. Are you ready saints and friends for where God is about to take us? I am. How about you? Where there are two or three gathered together in my name God said He will be in the mist. I admonish each of you as you are gathering yourselves together for this anointed Holy Convocation to ask God to move like He has never moved before. And I'm praying that God do just that. My prayer is that God may forever protect, bless, and keep each of you as you travel along your Christian journey. Because of the love of Christ in me Pastor Rickie Jackson Host Pastor 4

We thank God for the past year, which was indeed a blessed one for us here at Emmanuel. Our Pastor continues to lead us as he seeks God s plans for our lives. Our officers continue to work together to put God s program over to the best of our ability. The vision given to our Pastor for this year is, Weight Loss! He encourages us to continually lay aside every weight or sin, or anything that will make us take our eyes off the prize of making the rapture, taken from Hebrews 12:1. God continues to bless our pastor with just what we need to strengthen us for the journey as we continue to seek to make the Rapture! We thank God for our annual revival, which was held in June. The speaker this year was Bishop Sylvester Reid. This Man of God truly encouraged us each of the four nights, with such topics as, Your Struggles Creates a Language That only God Can Understand, It s Time to Get Up!, Don t You Dare Criticize My Limp!, and The Struggle is Real, But God It was truly a blessed revival for those who were in attendance. As always, we thank God for our Elders Pinckney and Williams, Ministers Moody, Pierre, and Leysath, our Deacons, who continue to encourage us out of the Word of God. We thank God for the souls he has added to the fold. We have baptized several souls since last Convocation, many of which have received the gift of the Holy Ghost, while others are actively seeking. Many other souls have made Emmanuel their Church home, and still others have re-dedicated their lives to Christ. We also thank God for our regular visitors, who enjoy coming to the services, and we continue to lift them up. On the natural side, since last convocation, we are making great progress in preparation for the building of the Life Center, which will, with God s help, become a reality within the next year. To God be the GLORY! We thank God for our high school graduates, Sister Alyssa Gordon and Brothers Devonte Reese and Eric Pierre. They are all pursuing higher education Alyssa and Devonta at Midlands Technical College, and Eric at Limestone College. May God continue to bless them and keep them in the center of His will, as we continue to pray for them. Sorrowfully, we bid an earthly farewell to Mother Katherine Flemming, who is now resting in the arms of Jesus, awaiting the first trump of God. We truly miss her and her ready smile. Mother Flemming had been a part of Emmanuel for many, many years, and will never be forgotten. We ve also had other church families to lose loved ones and we ve tried to be there for them and each other, to try and be strong, and God met us in a mighty way! As always, we thank God for all of our auxiliaries and officers. The goals of all officers continue to be to do our best to make our auxiliaries the best that God will have them to be. The auxiliaries were able to continue with many of the programs that were started in previous years, as well as institute many other ideas. We thank God for the minds of the leaders of these auxiliaries to work together in love. We solicit your prayers for us here in this part of God s vineyard, as we seek to live lives pleasing in His sight, let our lights shine in the neighborhood, and lead mankind to Christ by precept and example. The Emmanuel Church is reporting $300.00 Convocation Dues, $300.00 in Auxiliary dues and $ in Membership Dues. Faithfully submitted, Sister Rosa B. Pollock Church Secretary 5

Sunday, July 15, 2018 10:00 am In 1988, the now Deacon Ford along with his wife Lynda and two children (Nicole and Arnold Jr.) became members of the United Church of Jesus Christ, Pastored by the Late Bishop Emmanuel Williams and Presided over by the Church overseer, Bishop James B. Thornton. Shortly after joining United, Deacon Ford was called to the ministry and began assisting Pastor Williams in his day to day ministerial duties. Over the next 5 years as Bishop Williams health began to fail, Bishop Thornton, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, ordained and installed Elder Ford as the Pastor of the United Church of Jesus Christ in Philadelphia. By the help and grace of God, Pastor Ford labored in the ministry, witnessing souls being saved and experiencing growth in membership in the Church. In 2002, Pastor Ford was consecrated a Bishop by his overseer, Bishop J.B. Thornton. Bishop Ford continues to be a pillar of the Philadelphia Apostolic community and a voice crying out in the wilderness for the truth of God. This moment is for remembering. Yes. Remembering our loved ones that are sleeping, awaiting the coming of our Lord. Thank you, everyone. Mark your calendars now. July 14, 2019 - July 21, 2019 43rd Annual Holy Convocation 16

Bishop Malon Pollock was born in Richland County on December 22, 1933. He was the eighth of ten children born to the late Henry and Mary Pollock. He attended school in Richland County. Although he did not receive his high school diploma in his youth, God blessed him to return to school to earn his diploma in May of 1984. On April 10, 1952, Bishop Pollock was united in holy matrimony to Alice E. Smith. To this union were born eight children, twenty-three grandchildren, seven great-grand children and counting. Not many days hence, Bishop enlisted in the United States Army, and in 1955, after a two year stint, he was honorably discharged. He then matriculated into the Trade program at Booker T. Washington where he earned a certificate in Brick Masonry and Carpentry In 1950, Bishop Pollock was baptized at the Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ and received the Holy Ghost the following year. He worked diligently at the Progressive Church where he held many positions and assisted in the commencement of many works, both naturally (in construction), and spiritually (in leadership). However, in 1963, he was led of God to start an independent work known as the Emmanuel Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. Under his leadership, churches were started in Columbia, Eastover, West Columbia, Swansea, and Smoaks, South Carolina. December 22, 1933 ~~ October 27, 2000 Over 15 years ago, Bishop began to speak of the vision of a new edifice. Through many trials and tests, Bishop saw the completion of this sanctuary on Saturday, June 24, 2000, at 2:00 pm. On that blessed day Bishop Pollock was able to attend and participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony. No doubt, we may ask ourselves What kind of man was this? Although his health and strength declined, his desire to see God s work flourish never diminished and his faith and trust in God never failed. Even in the final hours of his earthly life he had the people of God on his mind and in his heart. He was comforted when Bishop Rickie Jackson whispered into his ear, The church is going to be alright. Friday morning, October 27, 2000, our founder departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest. His hands can no longer clap, his tongue can no longer speak, but thanks be to God the HAMMER is still ringing, for the many sermons he preached will live on forever within our hearts and minds!!!
