Suood Alyalyali Level 5 Nowadays, the world suffers from a serious problem called Air pollution. This problem occurred many years ago, but the world has paid more attention to it since scientists noticed that air pollution is a main cause for Global Warming. Global Warming means that the Earth s temperature is getting higher than in the past. In UAE, we suffer from this problem, but we can solve it using public transportation, green energy and green walls. First, cars are a main cause for air pollution, so we can substitute public transportation for cars. It is a very helpful solution. Let s see the difference. One modern bus can pick up more than 40 passengers in one trip, whereas one big car can pick up about 8 passengers. By using more buses and other means of public transit instead of cars, we reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the air which is the main cause for air pollution. In addition, there are many kinds of modern public transportation that use clear energy, such as electricity. These modern means of public transportation are a great step toward a clean air and green environment. Second, nowadays we can use new technology to create electricity from nature, so we can use this clean energy instead of petrol or diesel. As a result, we won t cause more air pollution. For example, In UAE, we have hot weather and strong sunlight through the year except winter. Therefore, we can use solar panels to convert sunlight energy to electricity. In fact, electricity is very useful and does not have any bad effects in our environment, so we can use it for our activities and save our environment at the same time. Third, now we try to use clean energy to save our environment, but what about the air pollution that we caused in the past? There is an incredible solution called green walls. The green walls are lines of trees that we plant beside our roads and streets. These great walls take carbon dioxide from the air and give us oxygen. In addition, these walls can protect us from the flying dust near deserts. In other words, green walls can help us to get rid of air pollution. Finally, air pollution is a very serious problem in my country and around the world. As governments and individuals, we have to work hard to keep the Earth clean. That s because, we have only one planet to live on, and it is not fair to leave the Earth dirty for the next generations. Nosibah Maimani Level 1 Our Trip to Florida One day before the Christmas last year we traveled from New Orleans to Orlando by car. We prepared our bags an we moved in the early morning.on the way we stopped by Starbucks and we had coffee and muffins. It was nice way. A lot of trees and the weather was great. After 10 hours we arrived in Orlando. We took a suit, in the Hilton for 5 days. It was so close to Disney Land. Over the 5 days we visited most Disney parks, and they were so exciting. My kids enjoy and take a picture with Micky Mouse. Mustafa Alabuabdullah Level 1 Things I do not like in United States I do not like things in United States. like fast food it so bad because they have so much oil.is not easy to find house or apartment, and the rent is so expansive I can't rent any kind of apartment.there are a lot of homeless in united states I can't live safe.and I dislike the taxes in United States because United States has many poor people who can't pay for the taxes.i hope all the the things i dislike it will be fix it in united states

Hancheol Park Level 2 I went to the hospital. My second sister was expecting another baby at the time. She was worried about the first baby. I was also worried. My first sister has two kids, so I have two nephews and one niece. I was worried about my sister's health. I would marry, but I don't have a job. She had a examination at a hospital, and She and I went to a Korea restaurant. We ate Korea food Bibimbap. It was delicious. She looked helpless then. She wanted Korea food, so She and I went to Korea Mart. We bought a lot of Korea food. After, We went back home. I helped My sisters husband at the store. It was a great help to me. Because I spoken English. When the store work was over, I cooked Korea food. I made it very easily. Then I ate the food with My two sister's husbands, and We played basketball. I was so happy with my sisters, sister's husbands, nephew and niece. I want to come My parents, too. That is wonderful my life, and my feeling is so comfortable. Sara Chiaravalli Bassani Level 5 In my country there is a proverb that says: " the dress doesn't make the nun". It means that the people are not like they seem. It's very easy to judge a person for his or her external behavior, but it's difficult to know the depth of one's soul. The first impression is never the best. I learned this when i was in high school. For example, It happened that when I saw a beautiful girl, very thin with fresh appeal, I said to myself: " she is very lucky to be thin, she eats but she doesn't get fat", but after that I found out that she was anorexic. So probably that girl has had a lot of problems, but the only thing that I saw was her skinniness. Another good example how bad a first impression can be, is when a girl says: "that boy is horrible, look at his jacket!" This last situation happens very frequently in my country, if you have fashionable clothes it means that are beautiful and cool, but if you haven't got expensive clothes you aren't. This is not a correct way to judge people because the clothes don't explain who you are. They don't show your character and your qualities. Sometimes the way i dress is only a cover to hide who I really am. In addition, this way of thinking is not natural or moral and I think that it's influenced by the society in particular by consumerism because the media sends a wrong message about how important appearances are. This policy is very dangerous mainly for the young generations because they don't understand how superficial is to judge a person by the style of clothing. So I think that the first impression is only an easy way to judge a person. We need to take away the cover that the people use to hide themselves and we must learn to say: " I want to know him because I would learn same interesting things from his life experiences ".

Tanarat Chaichana Level 5 Why should I study in the jazz music program at the university of New orleans? This question was asked by many musician friends who are used to performed with me, and also many friend who are living ing my home town. Before I decided to study at the university of New orleans. I had some recommendations about renown jazz institution in the United states such as Berklee college of music in the Boston, New york University, and University of North Texas. However, at the first times, when I visited New orleans, I felt fascinated by the strongly american music culture called Dixieland Jazz, So I decided to study at UNO for many reason. First, I believe that New orleans is the best town for jazz musicians because there is plentiful with jazz festival, jazz club, and many audiences who are honestly support this music. It's easy to see that many tourist from all of the world have been coming to this town spend times by have fun with a numerous festival, and listen to a good music. Next, New orleans is the birth place of authentic jazz.the tradition music which was developed by Louis Armstrong called Dixieland jazz have performed by many generation in this town. So as a music student, I would say that is the best opportunity for not just learning music in the classroom, but learn by spiritual of the french quarter, and New orleans resident. Furthermore, I agree that the jazz program of the university of New orleans is very strong program in this town. There is many event or jazz jam section which reserved for UNO student such as the Cove which developed by professor emeritus and jazz studies program founder Ellis Maraslis. Even though the department of music doesn't have too many student or many instructor, I would say the quality of education is very well. Many instructors in the program are renowned musician in this town. As well as. There is a lot of talented students in this program who were born in this town, and know how to play with the second line rhythm. In short, I consider new orleans is meaningful for jazz music. It 's my pleasure to see many audience still enjoy listening or dancing with jazz music. Many famous musicians who have inspire me such as Louis armstrong, Wynton Marsalis, and Harry connick. They were born in this town. So, I hope that is the best opportunity for me to studying jazz music at the UNO. Ali Ghawwas Level 5 Ghawwas '' Diver'' Ghawwas is my family name.in English it means '' Diver '' that describes which my ancestor did as work. they dove to get pearls the deep sea. This work kept continuing until kept on to my grandfather. He didn't teach his sons who are my father and my uncle who to dive, so they didn't teach me, my brothers and my cousins.that because my city has changed. How ever then one of my brothers decided to learn how to dive just to keep what we are supposed to be. He just took a course in diving and then he got his diving license. After that he has taught my other brothers, cousins and however would like to be diver, but this time not to get pearls. It's just for fun and looking at nature inside the sea. The world undersea is fascinating. There are a lot of unknown creatures for people who haven't been diving. The most beautiful in undersea life is coral reefs. There you can find groups pretty of fish with fascinating colors, not to mention algae, shells, sea plants and many other creatures living together in the same area. The undersea life is like a beautiful painting consisting of many colors.
