PEER GROUP WORKSHEET 5 Talent Academy Ministry Outside the Walls October 4, 2016 As you respond to today s event, you may use this worksheet to spark conversation about how your church can become more faithful and fruitful. These questions will guide your peer group time. (12:20 12:45 Lunch, 12:45-1:30 Peer Groups) Tell us your name, church, role in your church, and one thing Andy shared that stands out for you. Is there something Andy said that is particularly important to you and you want to talk about during this lunch conversation? How does your church currently recognize and celebrate the culture making that your members do at home, in their neighborhoods, and in their workplaces? What meaningful, material parts of daily life and work are not recognized and celebrated enough in your church? Are there some groups of people (age and stage of life, or with particular vocations/callings) who might feel that their daily life is rarely mentioned or treated as significant? What would it look like to celebrate the image-bearing qualities of their life and work in your church? Where do you see idolatry and injustice in the community you serve examples of people seeking authority without vulnerability, at others expense? 1
PEER GROUP WORKSHEET 5 Talent Academy Ministry Outside the Walls October 4, 2016 Where would you personally most like to be a part of addressing idolatry or injustice in your community? Where is a place in your community that God is calling you to go but would require some sacrifice to get to? What structures would you need to put in place to offer the accountability to go there? How do you see God moving in your local church and community to bring a spirit of flourishing? How might you engage in such a way that you could be a fuller participant in that flourishing? Is there a question you would like to ask Andy? What are your take-aways from our time of worship and Bishop Lewis message this morning? 2
