Treasurer report given by Alan Eldon moved and Eileen seconded to accept. Motion carried. Yeah Sandy s mother board is not fixed and got the print-out. Special Note : Randy welcomed our newest members to Chapter C Ron & Eileen Bevard. GLAD TO HAVE YOU ABOARD!!! NEW BUSINESS: * Randy noted that Chapter C received their GWTA Ticket Rebate for the national ticket sales. It was not yet deposited at the time of Sandy s report. WOW what a nice bonus to have to the account this time of year. * Ron & Randy explained about the upcoming Cash Iron Camporee on April 22 nd. * Dealer Fun Run is Saturday April 8 th. * Reminder that weekly dinner rides started April 1 st. Explained about the departure points on the dinner ride schedule or meet at the restaurant. Alan had another DVD titled Street Smarts 2. Following are some of the main points discussed or demonstrated. (1) Which is more dangerous racing vs. street riding?? All speakers definitely said street riding because of the unknown conditions and circumstances. Compared to racing they have a set clean route and do not have the unexpected vehicles, animals & road conditions on the race track. (2) Counter Steering. (3) Do not use rear brake to stop use front brake. This was demonstrated by an officer. (4) Trottle control should be smooth & you re your throttle response of your bike. (5) How to avoid not to hit things do not fix your focus on the item; you go where you look. (6) how to improve night riding Good vision, good lighting. You can see far enough ahead to be able to react. Clear screen/vision such as clear visor glass (do NOT have tinted glass) Ron moved and Carol 2 nd to adjourn this month s meeting. Note: How about that -- each of the members present played an important role tonight in taking care of business making the motion or 2 nd to the motions. Thanks to all that attended tonight There was no 50/50 drawing tonight. Submitted by, Carol Ogorzolka (on behalf of Linda ) Knot s Getting Bigger You asked for tall tales and my neighbor is the queen of tall tales. If I have to chose just one story to tell, it will have to be this one. One day she came in, flopped in a chair and said, I had the scare of my life. When I asked what happened, she said Well, I was coming home from town and had a pain in my stomach, sorta like a bite or sting. Well, I looked down and I there was a little knot. It kept hurting and getting bigger. When I got home it was the size of a softball. I rushed to my bedroom to investigate. All it was, was a hole in my girdle with the fat poking through!
Looks like April showers to end the month! On April 22 several members & riders followed Ron Bevard out to the Boy Scout Camporee for the ride & shine. They had great weather for camping out in a cow pasture. Scouts had instruction in old west cooking, food safety, campfire cooking, nutrition & camping equipment. Ron Bevard, Alan Rosenboom, Tom Rule, Randy Moller, Greg Heath, Charles Wertz & Randy Rutt competed for votes among the scouts. When Randy Rutt started his bike I think that attracted a lot of voters to make him the winner of the coveted cast iron skillet award!
