The proper upkeep and management of the property ensures that (1) disciple-making ministries are effective and (2) the legal and insurance requirements related to the MUMC are satisfied. A physical plant that is well-groomed and attractive is much more welcoming, safe, and hospitable than one that shows signs of benign neglect. As of 2016 the Board of Trustees is creating a new Transportation Committee that will be a sub-committee of the Board of Trustees. In the Fall of 2016 the transportation committee will submit their own budget to the Finance committee. The Transportation Committee will not be required to attend the Board of Trustees meetings. 7
Transportation Committee - Make sure all drivers and users are aware of the bus policy and are following it. Be in close and continual communication with the Bus Coordinator to be assured that each Sunday has a driver and all passengers are being accommodated. Make appropriate accommodations for passengers for special events and when the vehicle is out of town. Be aware of monthly church calendar as related to transportation needs.
