Kinmundy Community Easter Sunrise Service April 1, 2018
Welcome and Announcements
Christ the Lord is ris n today, Alleluia! Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia! Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia! Sing, ye heav ns, and earth, reply, Alleluia!
Love s redeeming work is done, Alleluia! Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia! Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia! Christ hath opened paradise, Alleluia!
My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name. On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; all other ground is sinking sand.
His oath, His covenant, His blood support me in the 'whelming flood; when all around my soul gives way He then is all my hope and stay. On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; all other ground is sinking sand.
On a hill far away, stood an old rugged Cross, The emblem of suff'ring and shame.
And I love that old Cross where the dearest and best, For a world of lost sinners was slain
So I'll cherish the old rugged Cross, till my trophies at last I lay down.
I will cling to the old rugged Cross and exchange it some day for a crown.
To that old rugged cross I will ever be true, its shame and reproach gladly bear;
then he'll call me some day to my home far away, where his glory forever I'll share.
So I'll cherish the old rugged Cross, till my trophies at last I lay down.
I will cling to the old rugged Cross and exchange it some day for a crown.
A Time of Prayer Testimonies, Joys & Concerns Pastoral Prayer
The Lord s Prayer (In Unison) Our Father, who art in heaven; hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and power, and glory, forever. Amen.

All Or Nothing 1 Corinthians 15
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15 :1-3
13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith, 15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. if the dead are not raised
4 Implications of a Godless world
1. There is no hope
2. There is no meaning
If the dead are not raised, Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die. 1 Corinthians 15:32
3. You are not really you!
4. Our deepest desires make no sense.
If the Gospel is true
Hope has a name
Everything Matters
You will never not be you
There is an answer for every ache
5 and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born. 1 Corinthians 15:5-8 last of all he appeared to me also
Because He Lives 364 WORDS: Gloria and William J. Gaither, 1971 1. God sent His Son, they called Him Jesus; He came to love, heal, and forgive; 1971 William J. Gaither
He lived and died to buy my pardon, an empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.
Refrain Because He lives, I can face tomorrow; because He lives, all fear is gone;
because I know He holds the future, and life is worth the living just because He lives.
