In Loving Memory of our Friend, Betty Sidener While we rejoice that Betty met her Savior face to face on February 18, 2018, our hearts are filled with a deep sadness knowing that our time with her is over. Betty did so many things to contribute to Village Bible Church. We will miss hearing her sweet voice singing or playing the great hymns of the faith on the piano. She taught lessons in Dorcas Ladies Group and Ladies Bible Study. She worked with Jan in all aspects of the choir. She accompanied her husband Rod as he led our worship time in Sunday School. She faithfully sent birthday and anniversary cards to those in the church. She worked behind the scenes in cleaning the sanctuary every week. She helped plan conferences and many other church events. She volunteered to assist in every event happening at VBC. Betty was an amazing woman who loved her family and loved to talk about her grandchildren! You could tell by being around her that she loved life. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. Betty s smile was contagious and in any gathering, she was the energy and life that kept laughter going! Betty was knowledgeable about the Bible and contributed often to discussions in Bible Study and Dorcas meetings. She kept us smiling as she would give her take on things we were studying. Betty was kind and generous to her fellow sisters in Christ. She was always volunteering to help with whatever needed to be done when someone needed meals or help in any way. We are better people for having known Betty. She gave all who knew her the gift of her Christian example.
