We welcomed many visitors and the meeting was well attended. Many thanks to our Junior Warden, Bernie Dow who provided us with a great meal: and thanks to his lovely bride for her obvious positive influence and assistance in support of her husband. February brings us to the celebration of the birth of our great Masonic Grand Master, President George Washington, to whom we owe so much. He is revered not only for his leadership in the establishment of our great nation but more importantly to us for the excellent Masonic legacy that he provided for all Masons. I would like to congratulate Past Master Dana Nöllsch on his appointment as Deputy Grand Lecturer. Few persons are as well qualified to fill this important position, as is Brother Nöllsch. We are looking forward to a great deal of degree work this year and Dana will be a significant influence on the presentation of our work in a professional, accurate and skilled manner. It appears that our Lodge Trustees will also be facing many new and exciting challenges with regard to the operation and functioning of the Lodge and I welcome their participation and dedication to the Craft.

A reminder that Martha Chapter of Eastern Star will be having a Crab Feed on Saturday, February 18 th. The cost is $33.00 per person and this should be an excellent event. All profits go to UNR Cancer Research. Please RSVP to Ruth or Feryl Fitzgerald 775-882-4119. There is limited seating and no tickets will be sold at the door. The menu will be Crab, French Bread, Coleslaw, Baked Beans. Congratulations to Brother Tom Cohan who was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on January 20 th. Many thanks, to all who attended and participated in the presentation of the Third Degree. Our Stated Meeting for February will be on Friday, February 3 rd. @ the appointed hour of 7:30 pm. Let s make a personal commitment to attend the Stated Meeting each month of the year. Remember that when one of our member brothers is absent the lodge is incomplete. Every brother is important and vital to the success of the new year. Hope to see you there Trey R. Watts Worshipful Master Wadsworth Lodge #25 F. &. A. M. GREETINGS FROM THE WEST We have an upcoming third degree on the 20 th and it looks like we will have more degrees next month. I would like to personally welcome all new entered apprentices as well as the brethren who have applied for and received dual or plural memberships. Fraternally, SHELDON STONE Senior Warden GREETINGS FROM THE SOUTH I would like to start off by saying how happy and pleased I was with the turn out we had at the dinner for the stated meeting. We had roughly 20 25 attendees that made the entire dinner a success. I would like to thank my wife, Sherry, my son, James and his wife, Abbay and her mother, Moni Fox for all of the help when the ovens began acting in a very un-masonic fashion by not heating up. It was Moni s idea to fry the chicken. Hopefully we can get the oven thermostats taken care of soon. By the time you will have read this article, we will have conferred the 3 rd degree upon Brother Tom Cohan. I m sure that it will be another excellent degree put on by our lodge. The Brethren involved have been practicing hard to make it the best possible degree for the Brother. This brings up a point I would like to mention these degrees take time and participants to practice to be able to perform them correctly. If there are any Brethern that would like to help out with the practices, but not actually have an active part in the degree, any help would be greatly appreciated. For the February stated meeting, I am planning on having beef stew, salad, and dinner rolls with brownies and ice cream for dessert. Please RSVP to drknshp@att.net or call 775-453-9341 and leave a message to RSVP by the 30 th of January. Fraternally, Bernard J. Dow Junior Warden

Message from DGL Brethren, Officers remember that we will be having practices every Wednesday except the 2 nd Wednesday where there will be no practice. These Wednesday practices will be in addition to the regular practices every 3 rd Friday. These practices are very important for us to become proficient in our work and any other brother who wishes to take part in these practices are more than welcome. It is our goal this Masonic year to be extremely proficient in our ritual work, at the same time enjoying the camaraderie that this brotherhood brings.
