15 10. Reputation of Sound Scholarship: 1. Prof. Syed Amir Hasan Abidi, Former Head and Prof. Department of Persian, University of Delhi. The thesis does not suffer in merit and is a genuine piece of research work characterized by discovery of new facts and correct interpretation and presentation. Besides it opens new avenues for further research and adds to the knowledge of the subject. 2. Prof. Syed Hasan, Former Head of the Department of Persian, Patna University, Patna. The scholar has dealt with the representative poets of these schools and has given critical description of the new trends of Manuj-i-Nau to be found in their works He has collected his data with critical acumen, arranged them logically and arrived at correct judgement. The thesis presents in clear language the main characteristics of the period which constitutes about half century of literary activities in Iran. The thesis has been written throughout in Modern Persian which I think adds to the value of the work and credit to the scholar.
