CATHOLIC STUDENT ASSOCIATION AND NEWMAN CLUB EVENTS The Newman Club at the Health Science Campus will be hosting an interfaith panel discussion on Wednesday, April 23rd from 12-1 p.m. in HEB 100. The panel will be made up of physicians of various religions who will share perspectives and experiences that will be helpful for students who will have a future career in healthcare. Lunch will be provided. HOLI TOLEDO: CSA students participate in an all-campus celebration of Holi, an Indian holiday with Hindu roots in participation with the UT Center for Religious Understanding. Over 500 students participated in this celebration. STUDENT PANCAKE POWER BREAKFAST WALK FOR WATER: the CSA team PIZZA FOR THE POOR: Join us for one last Pizza for the Poor for the semester, this Wed., April 23rd. Meet in the Newman Rooms at 7 p.m.! Registered parishioners are asked to make arrangements for the Baptismal Preparation Class and the Liturgical Celebration by calling the Parish Office. Pastoral Care of the Sick: When a parishioner is confined to home because of age or infirmity, or in a hospital or nursing home, please call the parish office to arrange for Holy Communion to be brought to them. When one is seriously ill, the healing Presence of the Lord should be requested in the Sacrament of the Sick by calling the Parish office. Vocations Prayer: Gracious God, make me an instrument to encourage others to give of themselves and challenge me to do the same. Inspire men and women to respond generously to your call to service and leadership in your Church as priests, consecrated religious and deacons. Amen. Religious Life: Consecrated women religious by their lives witness the joy of eternal union with God. Freed from earthly cares, they more fully manifest the Kingdom of God to all Christians. Matrimony: Anyone planning to be married must contact the Parish at least six months in advance. The exact date and time of your wedding should not be determined until after consultation with a priest or deacon. If either party has previously been civilly or religiously married, the Presider is not permitted to set a date for the wedding without resolving the previous marriage.
