They also talked about ways they can worship God each day. God wants us to worship Him with our whole hearts. What are some ways you can worship God each day? Enjoy a snack together as you talk and make a list of all the things that have gone well for your child in recent weeks/months. Have fun reminiscing about all of the successes. Then go back and look at each event/item you listed. Who made all of things happen? (GOD did!) Did you remember to praise Him when they happened? Challenge each other to look for God when things happen and when you pray to thank and praise Him for always being there with you. God wants to worship only Him! Be strong and brave. Do not be terrified. Do not lose hope. I am the Lord your God. I will be with you everywhere you go. --Joshua 1:9 (NIRV) 1. Why do you think Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had the courage to refuse to bow down to the statue? 2. What happened to them in the fiery furnace? 3. How can you have the same courage to stand up for God? Go outside and have a race of sorts, either on foot or on your bikes, etc. Or race to build the tallest tower in a minute. What happened to Jesus on Good Friday? 3. Why is Jesus death so important for us as Christians? Together, think about and discuss things that you have done that did not please God this week. If possible, write them on a paper with pencil. Then take a giant eraser and erase all of those things. Enjoy a snack together and share what the best news you ever received was. On a piece of paper, try to think of and write down the emotions you felt. (Excited, happy, joyful, etc.). Did you want to tell everyone your good news? Why? Remind your child that Jesus coming back to life is VERY good and exciting news for us to share with others around us.
