Devotion: In the last lesson we talked about how God created Adam from the dust and breathed life into him. God gave Adam a human spirit when He created him! Up until Adam and Eve disobeyed, their spirits were perfect in every way and were part of the image of God that He imparted to them. In the Bible, the word spirit means wind, breath, or inspiration. The spirits of Adam and Eve - and our spirit as well - is inspired by the spirit of God. It is something we cannot see but we know is very well, and it is where our emotions and thoughts come from. Because of our human spirits, we can think, create, love, laugh, and understand. These things were all damaged when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. Now there is much we can do in and through our human spirits that does not honor God and give Him glory. However, when God created the human spirit, it was a perfect and beautiful reflection of His own. Crafts/Activities: Spirit Painting. Paint a picture showing God breathing spirit into Adam.
