PARISH NEWS GREAT NEWS Prayers and congratulations to Mark Gomba!! Mark, one of our parish young men, will be entering Saint Charles Seminary in about two weeks to begin study for the priesthood. We thank him and congratulate him for responding to God s call. We wish Mark the very best. Mark will be joining Chris Massaro, another seminarian from Our Lady of the Rosary parish. For them and all those who are walking with Jesus in this way, we offer our continued prayer and best wishes. SUNDAY FLOWERS The bouquets at the Main Altar, the BVM Shrine and the St. Joseph Shrine were donated for the soul of Deacon William C. Fahy, Jr. requested by Rich and Kate Coster. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION Everyone is invited to join in the all-day Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament which is offered on the last Monday of each month. Our next Eucharistic Adoration will be held tomorrow, Monday, August 27 th. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed after the 7:00 a.m. Mass and will remain exposed for adoration until 7:30 p.m. The Rosary will be prayed in common at 7:00 p.m. followed by the St. Jude Novena and Benediction at 7:30 p.m. Come and spend some time before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament! ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY In the Gospel today, Jesus asks Do you also want to leave? We must ask ourselves if we really want to hear the good news of His love for us and for others. Is the word of God able to break into our consciousness, change us and call us to hear the cries of the poor? This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to hear the cries of the poor by assisting families with food, utility, rent and other bills. God bless you!
