Seh Ha Elohim The Lamb of God

Plan B: The Bloodline of Redemption Jesus (Yeshua) did NOT come to start a new religion! He came to fulfill Elohim s plan of redemption for ALL mankind, detailed under the Old Covenant. He fulfilled the New Covenant. In this class, we are not talking about Jewish stuff. These are the critical foundations of our faith today.

Because tonight begins Passover, we are stepping out of our outline of topics for this class to celebrate Pesach, and discuss the first three spring feasts (appointed times) all happening this week. We call it Holy Week for very good reason more than most think.

The Spring Feasts

The Appointed Times The word we often translate as feasts or seasons does not mean it as we know it. The word moadim literally means APPOINTED TIME(S). Same word used in Leviticus 23 And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'The feasts of YHWH, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts. [ these are my appointed times ] (times appointed BEFORE time!)

The 7 Feasts of Israel: God s Prophetic Calendar Elohim s appointed times Tevet 7: Tabernacles (Sukkot) 6: Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) 5: Trumpets (Yom Teruah, Rosh HaShanah) Tishri Redemptive Plan of Elohim (God), celebrated ahead of ultimate fulfillment Tammuz Nisan 1: Passover (Pesach) 2: Unleavened Bread (Matzah) 3: Firstfruits (Bikkurim) 4: Weeks (Pentecost, Shavuot) Precisely Planned, Perfectly Fulfilled

CURRENT EVENTS: The Appointed Times Hebrew sacred year began last month, with the month of Nisan which contains first 3 feasts of God. Passover, first appointed time, begins at sundown tonight, April 10 (Nisan 14). Unleavened Bread begins at sundown the next night, Tuesday, April 11 (Nisan 15) Firstfruits begins the evening before the first day of the week following Passover, which is Sunday, April 16 (begins at sundown Saturday night). REMINDER: The Hebrew day begins at sundown. From Genesis 1:5, So the evening and the morning were the first day.

The Appointed Times PROPHECY IN THE 7 Appointed Times Hebrew prophet Amos records that God declared He would do nothing without first revealing it to His servants, the Prophets (Amos 3:7). From the Old Covenant to the New, Genesis to Revelation, God provides picture after picture of His entire plan for mankind and one of the most startling prophetic pictures is outlined for us in the God-ordained feasts (appointed times) of Exodus 12/13 and Leviticus 23.

The Appointed Times MOADIM: Hebrew word for feasts, literally "appointed times" Elohim carefully planned and orchestrated the timing and sequence of each of these seven appointed times. All these appointed times are also Shabbatot. First 4 in the spring: Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Weeks (Pentecost) Last 3 in the fall: Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Tabernacles (we will learn of these later in this series)

The Appointed Times Remember these are GOD S appointed times, not the feasts of Israel. For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4 in regard to a Jewish festival or Rosh-Hodesh or Shabbat. These are a shadow of things that are coming, but the body is of the Messiah. Colossians 2:16b-17 (CJB)

APPOINTED TIME #1: Passover (Pesach)

APPOINTED TIME #1: Passover (Pesach) Passover celebrates the deliverance of Israel from slavery in Egypt. It is the first of the seven appointed times. The first Passover (Pesach) was instituted in Egypt. Instructions and story are found in Exodus 12 and 13, then again in Leviticus 23 with the other feasts (given as part of the Law).

APPOINTED TIME #1: Passover (Pesach) An unblemished lamb was chosen then slaughtered, the blood painted on their doorposts, then roasted and eaten along with unleavened bread, and bitter herbs. Israel was to be ready to leave at a moment s notice. This was a meal in haste. Elohim sent an Angel of Death to take the firstborn of Egypt, and all those who were not covered by the blood of the lamb.

APPOINTED TIME #1: Passover (Pesach) Israel commanded to select unblemished lamb on the 10 th of Nisan, keep until the 14 th, then kill it. Roasted and eaten with unleavened bread (matzah) and bitter herbs on 14 th Day of Nisan (March/April) Eaten in haste with sandals on and staffs in hand (would be delivered from Egypt early the next day) Feast of Freedom (deliverance from Egypt) Angel of Death, all firstborn of Egypt killed. Israelites protected by remaining under the blood. (every household had to have their own lamb)

APPOINTED TIME #1: Passover (Pesach) Preparation includes thoroughly cleaning house, removing ALL chametz (leaven). Eat only unleavened bread for 7 days. (lots of tradition in this) First and 7 th days are Shabbatot (Sabbaths) Celebrated with traditional meal ( Seder ) instituted well before time of the Messiah (Rabbinical, not scriptural). Certain elements required by scripture, many others only traditional. Haggadah (program, order of Seder) To be commemorated every year, forever.

APPOINTED TIME #1: Passover (Pesach) This video was shown in class at this point.

From the very beginning God has been providing the sacrificial Lamb to atone for our sins. Yeshua is the completion of the ultimate sacrifice. We remain safe under His blood shed for us.

19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me. 20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. (Luke 22:19-20)

UNLEAVENED BREAD (Hag HaMatzot) Celebrated on 15 th day of the month of Nisan, day after Passover. 7-day feast, with 2 Sabbaths. "High Sabbath" days are mandatory rest days which are ordained on all feast days. Just as with the weekly Sabbath, the day before any "High Sabbath" is a "preparation day."

UNLEAVENED BREAD (Hag HaMatzot) This means Passover, the 14th, is also the "preparation day" for the "High Sabbath" on the 15th, (see: John 18:28, 19:14,31). The feast of Unleavened Bread celebrates the journey of the children of Israel through the wilderness, when God fed them with manna from heaven and supplied water out of the rock. Leaven is a symbol for sin in scripture.

UNLEAVENED BREAD (Hag HaMatzot) This feast (Unleavened Bread) was fulfilled when His body (His flesh) was laid in the tomb just before sunset, when the "High Sabbath" of the Feast of Unleavened Bread began. He was the sinless unleavened Bread of Heaven offered as the perfect sacrifice.

FIRSTFRUITS (Yom HaBikkurim) Celebrated on first day of the week (Sunday) after weekly Sabbath following Passover, in the month of Nisan. Jews today usually do not celebrate this day. Interesting! On the first day of the week following Passover, the firstfruits of the barley harvest was gathered and waved before YHVH in celebration and thanks.

FIRSTFRUITS (Yom HaBikkurim) On the first day of the week following Passover (17th day of Nisan) Jesus rose up from the grave. He is the firstfruits from the dead. This feast has been literally fulfilled in the resurrection of Jesus on the day of Firstfruits.

20 the Messiah has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have died. 21 For since death came through a man, also the resurrection of the dead has come through a man. 22 For just as in connection with Adam all die, so in connection with the Messiah all will be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: the Messiah is the firstfruits; then those who belong to the Messiah, at the time of his coming; 24 then the culmination, when he hands over the Kingdom to God the Father, after having put an end to every rulership, yes, to every authority and power. 25 For he has to rule until he puts all his enemies under his feet.. 1 Corinthians 15:20
