Collegiate Ministry Ken Dillard Stick around Baptist life long enough and seems like every thing changes... and then sometimes stay the same. Well Collegiate Ministry is no exception. Some of the things that stay the same: 1. We are on mission. We leave in two weeks for our Spring Break trip to Detroit. We will work with SBC Disaster Relief in an area near Warren, MI. A storm flood impacted over 100,000 homes and there is still much work to do. We will work on the rebuild of homes in several neighborhoods during the day. In the evenings we will assist several ethnic church planters with community outreach doing a pancake dinner, playing recreational basketball with the kids, and distributing 4000 batteries for smoke alarms in apartment complexes. All of these events will be bathed in the Gospel and an evangelistic effort. 2. We are reaching students on campus. Students at UC are involved in discipleship studies, small groups, and worship on campus. The Bridge Church at Miami will be baptizing three students in a couple of Sundays. There is an evangelistic outreach planned on that campus very soon as well. 3. We are ministering to faculty and staff at the university as well. One former faculty member is recovering from heart surgery, another working through the loss of a spouse, several dealing with cancers, relationship issues, parenting issues, and child-birth. This is truly a multi-generational campus and Collegiate Ministry is here for everyone. Some of the things that are changing will be happening soon. We will re-evaluate with the Administrative Leadership Team how CABA will be going about ministering to the campuses of UC, and other campuses in the associational area such as Xavier, Cincinnati State, Miami Univ, and others. With over 100,000 students in the greater metropolitan area, there will always be fields white unto harvest. Please be praying for wise leadership and decision making in the coming months. As always, I am ever grateful for my churches in the Cincinnati Area Baptist Association. There is no better bunch of church families anywhere in the US. Your care for students has always been my blessing. David Francis, Director of Sunday School for LifeWay Christian Resources will be our featured speaker Monday, September 12 from 10 AM to 3 PM The event, materials and lunch are free, but registration is required Register at www.cincinnatibaptist.com Event will be held at FBC South Lebanon, OH, 505 W Mason Rd 45065

Spring is in the air! Women s Missions & Ministry Joanne Hopkins It is time for us to think of Annie Armstrong and our Easter Offering. Pray as you lead your church to give to our North American Mission Board. This offering includes a lot of our own church planters. Our theme for Annie Armstrong this year is HERE AM/I SEND ME. Think about ways God is wanting to send you in your own community to do Mission Work. Pray for Ohio Women. We are going through a lot of changes since God led our own Cathy Pound to do mission work in other places. Pray that God will lead us in this change. Pray for me as I attend meetings to help work through these changes. We are also busy planning our Southwest Regional Women s Retreat. Our theme is ENCOURAGING ONE ANOTHER. That will be April 16th at FBC Waynesville. I believe it is going to be a great time. Norma McMurry is coming back as our main speaker. There will be eight breakouts to choose from. Plan now to be there. Thanks to the ladies who have attended the two craft days we have had in our association. Thanks to Patti for leading them. Hopefully some of the things you are learning to do you can use as mission projects in your church. I am praying for you and your church. If I can help you please let me know.
