Sunday (3/4) The Underground March 3 & 4 Announcements This Week at St. Matthew After worship, children will be escorted to the Krause Youth Center, with pick up at 11:00am. After-care is available for parents attending Bible Study. Bible Study for Adults and Teens Adults meet at 10:30am in room 108 for Bible Study. Topic: Ambassadors for Christ. Teen Bible study at 10:15am for 7 th - 12 th graders. Meet in the Schroeder room. Teens are studying Solomon's Writings. Join them for the Bible wisdom of Solomon that the Holy Spirit imparts to our young people. Monday (3/5) Women's Bible Class Meets at 6:30pm in room 108. Tuesday (3/6) Piecemakers (Quilting and Sewing Group) Meets at 9:30am in the church basement. Wednesday (3/7) Lenten Worship Service at 10:00am and 6:30pm. Theme: Jesus, Our Great High Priest, SERVES AT A GREAT ALTAR (Pastor Kuske) Confirmation Class Meets at 5:15pm in room 108. Choir Meets at 7:30pm in the chapel. Thursday (3/8) Bible Class Meets at 10:00am and 6:30pm in room 108. The topic this week: Protecting an Open Door for the Gospel, as we continue our study of 2 Corinthians entitled, The Glory of the Gospel Ministry. Saturday (3/10) Daylight Saving Time Begins Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour!

See Pastor Kuske for more information. Greeter Sign-up There is a greeter sign-up sheet for Holy Week in the back of church. Please help if you can! Easter Egg Hunt Easter Sunday after the 9:30am service for children 10 years old and younger. Donations of plastic eggs, candy or monetary contributions would be appreciated. LWMS Convention Information sheets for the LWMS convention are on the back table. Thrivent Choice Dollars The Thrivent Choice Dollar program gives eligible members an opportunity to help St. Matthew with various ministries. Designate your funds online at www.thrivent.com and going to Choice Dollars, or by phone at 1-800-847-4836. Designation for the last quarter expires on March 31. Adopt-a-Seminarian Our new Seminarian is Yaffet Gabayehu. His information is posted on the bulletin board in the hall. There is also contact information on past Seminarians Wolf Parsons, Andrew Nimmers, and Caleb Klatt on the board, for those interested in reaching out to them in some way. A special door collection will be held for Yaffet on this weekend and March 10 & 11, which will be given to him for purchasing a preaching robe and other needed items for his education. Please help out if you can!

Roof Fund Envelopes Please use your roof fund special offering envelope to help pay for the cost of school roof repairs. There are also envelopes available in the pews for this fund. Thank you for considering, and if led, for contributing to this special need. Outreach and Missions 2018 Mission Partner Our new mission partner for 2018 is the WELS Mission in Russia. Check out the display in back for more information! Thank you for your generous offerings of $1,076.08 this past weekend, to kick off our support for this year! Church Community News FVL Theatre FVL Theatre presents Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs of the Black Forest on March 9 and 10 at 6:30pm. Visit fvlhs.org for more information. Emanuel, New London 125 th Anniversary As part of Emanuel's (New London) 125 th Anniversary Celebration weekend the Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary Choir will be singing at the 5:15pm service on March 10 and at the 8:00am and 10:30am services on March 11. All are invited to this special event. Pathways to Christ Retreat This women's retreat will be held March 9-11 at the Hawthorn Suites & LaSure's, 3125 S. Washburn St. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Eternal Love Financial Peace University Eternal Love, Appleton, will be hosting a 9-week Financial Peace University course beginning Sunday, March 11. WELS United Annual Meeting WELS United will be hosting their Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 15 at 6:30pm at Bethel Lutheran Church, 829 Appleton Rd. in Menasha. Luther Preparatory School prep singers The Prep singers of Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, Wisconsin, will present a sacred concert at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 541 S. Clay St. in Green Bay on Friday, March 16 at 7:00pm. They will also be at Bethlehem, Hortonville, 126 N. Pine St. Hortonville, on Saturday, March 17 at 7:00pm. This 37 voice group is the premier choir from LPS, one of our synod-run high schools, whose special purpose is to prepare young people for careers in the preaching and teaching ministry. Apple Valley Food Pantry Updates Next collection date is March 18. Items needed: Cereal, canned fruits, all canned meats, rice, boxed and canned potatoes, cookies, jam, household cleaning items, and personal care items (lotion, body wash, deodorant). The pantry appreciates everything that our members do to help stock the pantry shelves. You may also use a special pew envelope for any monetary gifts. Thank you for your generous gifts and support through out the year. Seder Meal at Immanuel, Clayton How might Jesus have celebrated the Passover with his disciples the night he was betrayed? Your brothers and sisters at Immanuel in Clayton (3703 Fairview Rd, Neenah) invite you to come and find out! The Seder Meal will be on Sunday, March 18 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Kosher meal includes eating enough horseradish to make you cry; drinking 4 glasses of wine (or grape juice) to make you laugh; and a main dish choice of lamb and artichoke stew, hearty chicken vegetable soup or hearty potato-leek soup. Fifth Annual Ironman of God Men's Conference The 5 th Annual Ironman of God men's conference is Saturday, March 24 from 9:00am to 2:00pm at St. Paul's Lutheran School in Ixonia. Speakers this year are Pastors Karl Walther, Aaron Strong, Jordan Ertl, and Staff Minister Dan Schoeffel. Guys come and be strengthened in your faith and enjoy Christian fellowship. This will be for 13 days from September 12 24. Information is on the bulletin board in the hall. FVL International Program needs host families FVL's International Program needs host families interested in sharing their faith and culture with an international student. Camp Bird Volunteers Do you love to spend time in the great outdoors that God created? Do you love to be with other Christian brothers and sisters? Do you love to cook? We have an opportunity for you to combine all of these loves. We are in need of volunteers to help in the kitchen at Camp Bird, in Marinette County, WI. No experience is required just a willingness to serve. Camp begins Sunday, July 8 and ends on Friday, July 13.
