Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Romans 12:1-2 Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Key Areas of Renewal Your Relationship with God--God is my loving Father who through grace desires an intimate personal relationship with me. Your Difficult Circumstances--God is sovereignly involved in difficult circumstances to grow me. Your Close Relationships--God is my security so I can love others unconditionally and receive love from them.

How to Have the Mind of Christ Mind Transplant: Commit Your Life to Christ Rom. 7:24-25, Who will set me free from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! Admit I am living a self-centered life, not a Godcentered life. Believe I believe Jesus is God s answer to my selfcentered living. Confess I confess my rebellion and accept God s forgiveness. Dedicate I give myself to Jesus and commit to letting him be the director of my life.

How to Have the Mind of Christ L ist your thoughts prayerfully reflect on the thought patterns underlying your feelings and actions I dentify selfish tendencies of My Mind ask the Spirit to convict you of self-centered thoughts, un-truths, and worldly lies G et rid of My Mind pray that Christ will transform your mind by eliminating lies, un-truths, and worldly thoughts from your thinking H ave the Mind of Christ pray that the Spirit will shift your perspective to that of God s truth as seen in Jesus Christ and in Scripture T ake action follow Christ s mind rather than your own; put into practice God s truth

Concluding Observations We need to have realistic expectations about renewing our minds Takes effort over an extended period of time to reboot and reprogram Changing patterns of thought involves replacing the old and building the new Concentration of time and thought--let the power of God s Spirit work Surrender to the work of God s Spirit Focus your thoughts by meditating on Scripture
