YARD SALE REPORT Our May 21st Yard Sale was a success! After expenses, we netted around $3,300! We received donations from church members, neighbors, strangers and friends. It was because God was watching over us. The donations, the hard working volunteer workers, in kind services and the monetary donations are what made the Yard Sale successful. Our next fundraiser project will be the BBQ and auction. Volunteers are needed. To volunteer, call the SSUMC office (817-460-8655) or Honey Balsiger (817-200-6686 and leave message). Page 7 Save the date! Be ready to register your children, neighbor children, and anyone you think of. Also, be ready to volunteer! It ll be a blast! Hey Parents! We are praying to launch a new Sunday morning program in the fall for 5th grade students called Roots! Roots is an interactive experience where students will explore who God is, who they are, and how they can live it all out in their lives. Students will be encouraged to have fun as they deepen their relationship with God! They will also have the opportunity to apply what they've learned each week through small group discussions and peer relationships. Another important value of Roots is the curriculum "Submerge" will prepare students to make the transition to youth group. We hope you will join in prayer as we hope to launch Roots. Please pray for God's will in this new ministry, the students, parents of the students and for volunteers that want to invest into the future generation and put their faith into action by making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We are so excited to see how God moves in students' lives through this new ministry!

Arlington Urban Ministries: Personal care items to stock the shelves. You may also leave money on the rail during communion. Arlington Life Shelter: Concentrated effort to help the shelter function. They are also in need of travel size personal care items. Arlington Charities: There is a constant need for non-perishable food items to stock their pantry shelves. They also need baby clothes (9 months and younger), baby care items, and diapers and wipes. Baby blankets are a blessing, especially handmade! Wimbish Elementary: Steady donations needed of school supplies, tissues, and hand sanitizer. Watch and listen for special projects and collections. We are currently collecting money donations for all 6th graders to have a Field Day t- shirt. Place your donation in the offering plate or drop it by the office. Thank you in advance! Mission Lunches: The crew meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the SSUMC kitchen. A complete crew consists of 5-6 people willing to join an assembly line process that produces 80 sack lunches in 45 minutes or less. There are now permanent plastic tubs for transporting lunches, eliminating the scramble for cardboard boxes. The mission can use some help beyond the physical. Donations of large jars or peanut butter and jelly, individually wrapped snacks (like Little Debbie s), sturdy brown lunch sacks, Ziploc sandwich bags, and 16 oz bottles of water are needed!
