Abudawood Highlights Expanding our Food Division The Food Division at Abudawood expanded it s portfolio with launch of Jacobs coffee and Afia oil in early October. Jacobs coffee is a German brand which ranks amongst the best coffees in the world. A sampling session was held pre-launch to demonstrate the high quality of our product vs competition. Afia oil is leading cooking oil in Middle East region and the largest single producer of cooking oil in the world. The launch took place in KLIFMP where teams had decorated their respective branches for the big unveil. In these sessions, teams were taken over the origins of coffee and it s key features as well as the plans for 2017-18 for both brands. A healthy discussion was held on sales strategy and the tools available for creating impact.

Abudawood Highlights Making Ariel the Talk of the Town Ariel has been experiencing a declining trend in terms of volume growth in the past. However, with this year s inventive strategies the glory days of Ariel will return allowing it to witness double digit growth. The first step towards transformation is an upgradation in the detergent formula which is expected to supersede Surf Excel in terms of product quality (lather and scent). The new wrinkle free packaging gives it a premium look, enhancing the First Moment of Truth (FMOT) and overall product appearance. In order to commemorate this product advancement, Ariel day was celebrated at P&G s Head Office. Ariel s Vice President graced the event with his presence and enthused us with his energy. From ADP, Khubab ur Rehman and Muhammad Haroon were distinguished guests in the event. Ariel day was not only confined to the Head Office; all the participants went to the market and were divided in multiple teams. The teams got fully engaged in self led DTC Demo and merchandizing of new A/W stock in-store. Few of our participants sold the Ariel ROL to consumers directly. The day ended by crowning the selling champions and recognizing the combined efforts of all participants. It was a memorable day for all of us as the enthusiasm inspired from that day allowed Abudawood Pakistan to deliver 395 MSUs in Oct 2017. We hope to keep the momentum going!

Featured Project Let s Build The Individuals Together In August 2017, an initiative was taken by Muhammad Muzammil (BM Faisalabad) and Naheed Ahmed (BM Sargodha) to make business operations more effective by conducting combined sessions of the two clusters. Named Let s Build The Individuals Together these sessions focused on how the capacity of different individuals can be improved. They believe that these sessions would definitely help facilitate their workflow. ENTERTAINMENT An entertainment session was followed by training sessions. The facilitators and participants thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The Multan team plans to make this a ritual. Featured Initiative Daily Returns and Picking Operations Management Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort. (Paul J. Meyer) This initiative was taken by Bilal Shoaib (Warehouse Supervisor) and supported by Abid Ali (I.T Officer) at F.B Branch, Karachi to streamline stock returns. This initiative will help in 100% return management, stock pilferages due to lesser loose stocks handling, reconciliation, avoid double handling/repacking of stocks and encourage priority picking of return stocks to expedite overall operations and reduce precious human hours. Special gratitude to Kamran Iqbal, Branch Manager and Muhammad Mushtaq, Regional Manager who have been guiding the team throughout in improving the process. This session was conducted by Muhammad Muzammil and Naheed Ahmed to develop back-up CCEs from relevant departments. I never had a chance to get specially designed training on SAP. Training was already expected to be very informative and detailed. From learning perspective it was great, as we had very interactive session. As a CSL supervisor (Larkana), I lacked knowledge on this front and this session helped me understand it in a very engaging way. Shahzada Waqas Saeed Branch Manager - Sukkur 7 Habits of Highly Effective People This signature program aligns timeless principles of effectiveness with modern technology and practices. Participants gained hands-on experience, applying these principles that yield greater productivity, improve communication, strengthen relationships, increase influence, and provide laser-like focus on critical priorities. CLD earlier initiated a big rocks challenge program, moving towards a more holistic approach now, participants are supposed to complete the 7X7 contract provided in their kits and the winner will receive a reward upon submission within the provided timeline. The session was conducted by Atika Imtiaz (CLD Business Partner) and Saad Jamshed (Manager, Performance Management, HR). Personal development is more than just working on aptitude one already possesses, it s about growing, becoming more aware, and gaining valuable competencies that one can use to make an impact. Learning Pill The great end of learning is not knowledge but action Stephen Covey Email Etiquettes Email Etiquettes workshop session defines the principles of behavior that one should use when writing or answering email messages. Email is less personal than a phone or in-person conversation but quicker to send than a letter, it is possible for serious breaches of manners to take place. This session was conducted by Fatima Ahmed (Assistant Category Manager). My expectation from the workshop was to learn how to effectively communicate via emails. It helped me develop an understanding by keeping in view all the learnings before drafting an email. This session covers the ideas, concepts along with practical case studies and roleplays to help them understand and practice the art of coaching.
