The Angels and Saints Choir Welcomes You! Our Angels and Saints Choir starts the new season with a welcome reception on Thursday Sept. 6 at 7:00 pm. We greatly need new members to share our joy and fellowship singing God s praises, to the deep appreciation of our parish. Our interesting members are active in the business world, military, home, schools, and charitable endeavors and include both singles and couples, retired and employed, and so on. Our Angels and Saints Choir serves the 11:00 am Sunday Mass and we rehearse on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm during the school year. We can accommodate different personal schedules and levels of commitment. Our Children s Choirs start on Friday September 14 All children s choirs meet on Friday afternoons at Corpus Christi School, September 14 through December 14, then February through the beginning of May. Pre-school Children: Danielle Hrovat will lead Mary s Angels, our excellent music readiness program, from 3:15 PM to 4:00 pm. A caregiver is required to be present at all times with their child or children [ages 2-4 participate, infants and toddlers welcomed]. Concurrent Choirs for Pre-Literate [K-2 nd ] and Literate Children [3 rd through 5 th or 6 th ]: Danielle Hrovat is excited to develop our new more advanced choir for K-2 children, and Dr. Sharon Hershey is equally thrilled to lead our new choir for 3 rd through 6 th grade singers. Come enjoy a playful and joyful meeting of song and movement, 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm! Once ready, these choirs will offer special music ministry occasionally at the 9:00 pm Sunday Mass. A Call for Additional Singers and Musicians at the 5:00 pm Saturday Mass Our faithful long-serving guitarist and alto Kathy requests more folks to join us, singing or playing. We meet at 4:00 pm on Saturdays and prepare in advance for the upcoming Masses. Good music reading skills are needed to serve in this ensemble; both men and alto singers would be welcomed. Retreat Opportunity September 15th Luke 10: 2: The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest. On Saturday, September 15, 2018, Father Kyle Ingels, Associate Director of Vocations for the Diocese, Director of Campus Ministry, and Chaplain of the Colorado Springs Serra Club, will conduct this one day retreat at the beautiful grounds of Mount Saint Francis in the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Hall. Father Kyle will speak on The Landscape of Vocations in the Diocese of Colorado Springs. The retreat will include Mass, Adoration and the Rosary. The cost to attend is only $12.00, which will include continental breakfast and lunch. The retreat begins at 9:00 am and will conclude at 2:00 pm. Registration is required by September 7 th.
