ROADSHOWS 2017 RESPONDING TO GOD S GRACE

WORSHIP We come before God (ALL) who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We come before God (ALL) from the busy-ness of our day to spend time with God, and each other. We come before God (ALL) that we may be changed evermore into Christ s likeness.

That this day and all our days may be spent walking with God, let us pray with one heart and mind. A short time of silent prayer is kept. O God, in whose power is our very breath, to whom belongs all our ways, may we honour and serve you with our life, in Jesus Christ our Lord. (ALL) Amen. From Daniel 5.23

FATHER WE ADORE YOU Father, we adore You Lay our lives before You How we love You. Jesus, we adore You Lay our lives before You How we love You. Spirit, we adore You Lay our lives before You How we love You. CCLI Licence: 553903 Words: Terry Coelho CCCM Music/ Maranatha! Music

READING 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 just as He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before Him in love. 5 He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will,

READING 6 to the praise of His glorious grace that He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace 8 that He lavished on us.

With all wisdom and insight 9 He has made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure that he set forth in Christ, 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to gather up all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth.

11 In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the purpose of Him who accomplishes all things according to His counsel and will, 12 so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1.3-12

GREAT AND DEEP THE SPIRIT S PURPOSE Great and deep the Spirit s purpose, hidden now in mystery, nature bursts with joyful promise, ripe with what has yet to be. In a wealth of rich invention, still the work of art unfolds: barely have we seen, and faintly, what God s great salvation holds.

Great and deep the Spirit s purpose, making Jesus seen and heard. Every age of God s creation grasps new meaning from the Word. Show us, Holy Spirit, show us your new work begun today: eyes and ears and hearts are open, teach us what to do and say.

Great and deep the Spirit s purpose: all God s children brought to birth, freed from hunger, fear and evil every corner of the earth, and a million million voices speak with joy the Saviour s name; every face reflects his image, never any two the same.

Great and deep the Spirit s purpose, nothing shall be left to chance. All that lives will be united in the everlasting dance. All fulfilled and all perfected, each uniquely loved and known, Christ in glory unimagined once for all receives his own. CCLI Licence: 553903 Marnie Barrell

ROADSHOWS 2017 RESPONDING TO GOD S GRACE

WORSHIP Lord for your love, which you poured out in Jesus, healing and saving, leading into life, finding our true selves; children of the Father: Lord of all grace, we worship you each day. Lord of excess, the universe is endless, richness and beauty, more than all we need, manna in desert, water into best wine: Abundant Lord, we pray for gen rous hearts.

WORSHIP Lord of us all, you call us to belonging, one in our faith, our aims and way of life, seeking your Spirit, helping one another: Lord make us one, in Christ whose name we serve. Lord, we believe that you have turned the world around, cross-shaped beginnings, life beyond our death, in faith and doubt, in hope and hesitation: Lord help us tell, of all that Christ has done.

WORSHIP Lord of our hope, your promise gives us purpose; empty the tomb, and heav n on earth today, wounded the healer, bringing wholeness to us: Eternal Lord, in Christ we seek to live.

WANT TO KNOW MORE? LENT 2018 Next year Bishop Chris will be inviting the diocesan family to share with him in reflecting on our Christian journey through Lent. We will be producing materials that could be used as a Lent Course by parish groups, house groups, churches, and individuals. We will deliberately use resources that can be used across traditions and denominations, as well as providing ideas for worship and prayer. Part of the plan will be to take stock as pilgrims together, particularly as we await the calling of a new Bishop of Truro. MORE INFORMATION www.trurodiocese.org.uk
