The Mission of the United Methodist Denomination: The mission of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world Pastor Secretary Custodian Organist Treasurer Leslie Halchak Je Eshleman Randy Peters Sue Peters Lay Leader Gail Saxton Greetings In the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Whoooppeee! It s finally Fall, Autumn, whatever you want to call it I love it! It s been a long hot, humid, rainy Summer (but you know that). October comes with (hopefully) cooler weather, the leaves on the trees start to change color all creation seems to be transformed I love it! Autumn seems to be the season for apples. Apple pie, apple dumplings, apple crisp, apple cake, apple bread, apple donuts, apple soup (what?), apple cobbler, apple squares, candy apples, apple strudel, apple turnovers, apple fritters, applesauce, apple butter I love it! apple cider warm with cinnamon stick I love it! You folks are good cooks I just know it! Sooo, there is no reason why there shouldn t be at least one of each of these at my front door throughout this season (lots of time). I hope you folks can take a hint! October brings with it the colors of Autumn once again God is the masterful painter, brushing colors of red, yellow, orange all over the leaves of the trees. Then God said, Let the land burst forth with every sort of grass and seed-bearing plant. And let there be trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. The seeds will then produce the kinds of plant and trees from which they came. And so it was. The land was filled with seed-bearing plants and trees, and their seeds produced plants and trees of like kind. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:11-12, New Living Translation) Our gracious God continues to care for trees plants and us human beings too. Alleluia and Amen! Friends we are in this together! May you find yourself blessed to be a part of the family of God! Blessings!
